it is still happening to khmer krom people and especially khmer krom children. they can only study in pagodas, and most of the time the government always interrupt the study and tortured khmer krom people and monks. monks are the most important people. they are the only teacher for khmer krom people.

The is practically what was done to every African state except (Ethiopia) by colonies before each country got independence. Effects that are evident today with many young people in Africa who can't speak their their tribal language and can only speak the 'national language' of that country (English, French, Portuguese). Are we to imply based on this information that the African continent experienced Cultural "genocide"?
