Well said, I've taken that very same approach with my elders project. It's been the most productive way to select and process the images I work with.

Ants Yard it’s good to have a system and process to work with. What’s the project?

Simeon Quarrie My elders project iso on going and slowly and surely gaining more people to photograph and share their stories. The current Windrush events maybe part of that.

Sorry forgot to add the project is titled On The Shoulders Of Giants. And looks at how they view community and what that means to them. I want the viewing to leave exhibition I've setup asking themselves that very question. And perhaps if only for a moment, view people who don't look like them as people. And not less than.

Spot on Simeon. As the perfectionist I am, I “struggle” with that issue each day. As a one man band I want to deliver a superior product, and still I have to take the economical aspects into account as well. Luckily I’m pretty good at optimizing my workflow, and as a result increase the quality, spending less time 😄 The next logical step for a perfectionist, is then to raise the bar even higher, and that’s the reason why the subject always will be relevant 😊

Great tips (as usual), had to learn this the hard way. Question - Can you pls do a video crucial things to have when starting a video production service (maybe top 3 or 5). Not talking about gear but things like insurance, workflow, etc similar to the one you did on freelancer vs employee. Thanks in advance.

Yea, i usually wait before i send my projects, i limit to 6 portrait edits a day along with 1 video. After that i walk away, eat, go outside, then the next day i look at it with a reset mind and critique it then make it better. And when its best, i sit on it for 2 days before sending just in case i notice something minor.

OneNine Productions taking a break is so important. It can be quite depressing when I realise that I don’t like my colour decisions

1. Simeon you asked me to email you some time ago I did and you never responded. 2. I challenge you to spend a few hours with me doing some photography BUT we will be doing photography using 35mm film camera with no auto settings or post production. I will even lend you a camera. Do you accept?
