the kaleidoscopic character/camera could make for some awesome lsd trip-type games i was thinking the "transparent in the middle" could also make for some really cool mechanics, maybe the player character has an ability that allows them to see through walls, so triggering it hides the actual part and activates the viewportframe, making for a really cool illusion. maybe if you moved the frame around it'd function as some sort of x-ray glass!! it's very fascinating
