From what I read online jewelers cloth can be used on gold or silver. Is it safe to use on plastic. I ant to polish the barrel of my pilot custom 823. Will using a jwellers cloth cause damage?

I have used Pol Metal Polish to polish my pens. But now I found an 1930's Montblanc Celluloid pen, it is really faded and looks almost mat. What do you think I could polish that with?

Just wondering whether jewelry cloth and Cape Cod Cloth are the same thing, any idea? I’m trying to polish away the scratches from the gold clip on my pilot custom 823, I’m not sure if it’s full gold or gold plated, so I’m a little worried that polishing it will remove the gold plating.

It's just gold plating. From what I can tell, Cape Cod Cloth is meant specifically with metals, so I think it might wear off the plating in this instance. - Colin
