I think the facial expression from Ren, when asked about how Filipino's gossip about the Filipina with a foreigner, says she wasn't truthful in her answer, she just didn't want to say something negative about Filipino's judging their own, actions speak louder than words. I would say the negative comments towards Filipina's with foreigners comes from jealousy, they believe she is on easy street, taking the easy way out, not have to struggle, and will have a better life than they will. They only look at it from a money stand point, but don't think about all the problems that she is going to have to deal with, like language, culture, maturity levels, differences of opinion because of their life experiences, understanding foreign humor, and THEIR judgemental eyes, she may be better off financially, but that comes at a price. I think whether the foreigner accepts the family or not depends more on the family than the foreigner. If they are welcoming and accommodating and try to speak English so he feels INCLUDED and aren't trying use him as an ATM, then he would accept them. My question is, does the family ACTUALLY accept him as one of their own or just tolerate him? Rich is a relative term, it all depends on what you compare it to and what you consider rich. A person can have more money than another and be rich, but still poor compared to someone who has even more money, a family can be poor financially but rich in love. Thank you Lorie and ladies for the interviews, I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Maria’s answer is my favorite, because she’s happy for someone else who found a boyfriend/husband. Claire and the others were also very kind. Filipinas are such sweet people.

Hi Lorie,,another interesting and well thought out video. It was cool,,too,,that all 4 girls you interviewed were well spoken,,and easily understood. Last thing I wanted to say,,,it was like a mini beauty pagent,,every woman on there was pretty and intelligent. Sadly,,my 2 favorites are both taken,,the blue shirt girl and the interviewer lol. I'm not trying to flirt with you,,I just think you're very attractive and I want to be honest about that. I know you're in a good, happy relationship. Interviewing all these woman that are single and looking probably makes you appreciate your family even more. Have a great day! Ttyl,,,Marlon

I think the issues of love, respect, acceptance, trust and gossip are pretty much the same everywhere, once you look past the differences of culture and geography. I do think many foreigners, at least from more developed locations, are not tough enough to survive indefinitely in some provinces. That can create some relationship pressures of its own.

THE FUENTES FAMILY YOUR CONTENT IS EXCELLENT Your interviews are always good. Anywhere you go in the country anywhere you go in the world. There's gonna be some girls that organize the girls they wanna on a date, somebody to take your money. I mean, that's anywhere in the world. Philippines, United States everywhere, so it's normal. The thing is it's getting to know somebody and really getting to know them. And really seeing if you can get, it makes something out of a relationship and relationship shouldn't be about money, you know it should be about getting a know somebody if it's lone distance or not, should never be about money, it should be abou. T me getting in on you and you get to know me and that's the best of bottom line. And being real about what you really want after relationship. I really want to just talk with somebody and get to know them. Before I have anything to do with them. An internet leader there. Anything I want to know? This is the right personna be with. I want to be able to give up myself to them. You know, be true to him. Don't lie don't do a white lie, just be honest. About everything from the beginning. Don't sugar coat and say, oh what you know give me the truth and I want her to give me the heart truth as well. Every time we talk and have fun, I want us to be able to be on the phone and have fun and talk about. You know, seeing a dance and you know I'm a fun guy. I will see you next time. I'm on next video. my view- mostly poorer foreigners retire to the philippines, those that are rich choose a place with clean modern convenient living where there are other wealthy people and beautiful places and entertainment. the poorer foreigners retire to philippines because they are too poor to live a good life in their home country with their small income. as for the peso to dollar- yes a dollar may be 56 peso but you cant buy much with a dollar in the states and you cant buy much in the philippines with 56 peso either. its not like 56 peso equals 56 dollars by any means. its more like a discount, maybe what cost 100 dollars in the US will cost 75 dollars in the philippines, but some electronics and other things cost even more in the philippines than the US. the exchange rate helps but it does not make you rich by any means. most foreigners live a simple but decent life in the philippines with their wife and kids where they would be poor back home. visitors on vacation seem rich because they saved money up for their vacation and spend it fast as if they are rich but they will go back home and have to work to replace that money. filipinos think americans get a PENSION that makes them wealthy, 99% of the retired people in the philippines do not get a pension. Pensions were a thing in the past, i am 63 , my grandfather had a pension, most of our grandfathers did but companies stopped providing pensions a long time ago maybe the 1970's. the foreigners you see today mostly live on their social security only, it is a fund they put money into every week of their life since they began working as a teenager. some foreigners have also managed to save money each week of their life for some time on their own besides that, such as saving 100 dollars every week from their pay since they were 45 or 50 and saved until they turned 62 or 65 and now have that savings to go along with their social security. but none of this is FREE MONEY given to them, they worked for it all their lives- most filipinos dont understand that. the average american social security is only 35,000 peso to 50,000 or 65,000 peso a month. depending on how much they worked during their lifetime and contributed to the social security fund. that does not make them 'rich' it does allow them enough in the philippines to dress their children well, take them to the doctor or dentist ,own a decent house and eat good food and not struggle if they use it wisely. in the USA they would be very poor as that amount is only enough to pay rent each month and buy some cheap food. it would not allow them to pay electric or water bills or buy clothes or pay doctors or dentists or live a very happy life. they would struggle.
@justaguy-69
@justaguy-69 2 ай бұрын
i wish all filipinos understood this, they may respect the foreigners more and not feel jealous as if they foreigner had an easy life and is now rich. most americans worked 40-90 hours every week from 16 or 18 years old to 62 or 65 years old EVERY WEEK OF THEIR LIFE, to get what they have now... and struggled and saved. the filipinos in my brngy work about 2-7 days a month or 12 weeks a year, its not right to compare.

You often hear the Filipinos talking about the dollar is worth more which we do not comprehend the same way. Their country is controlled by an elite few family clans that own the corporations and political seats. The Republic was set up at 2 pesos to the USD which is why they always talk about their life being devalued. Yes if you have a wealthy pension you can afford more options which exist in modern clean Filipino cities or resorts. If however you are looking for a family & relationship as an elderly man those wealthier Filipinas are also going to have more options before considering you.

As a parent, I would of course warn her about all the dangers she could be exposed to, including pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases such as the HIV virus, etc. But then she has to decide how to deal with it. But then she has to decide how to deal with it. After all, some people only learn that you can burn yourself on a hotplate once they have experienced it for themselves. The Filipino boys will certainly not be pleased when they see their colleague from university, school or the neighborhood, whom they would have liked to have as a friend, with a foreigner who could possibly also be their father. But the Philippines have always been very hospitable. It should not be forgotten that the Philippines was the only East Asian country that allowed Jews to flee before and after the World War, despite hostility from the Arab states, and took them in. That is why Israel is also very grateful to the Philippines and has also provided them with military support, etc. The Philippines also voted in favor of Israel on the partition issue. Many Israelis also spend their vacations in the Philippines and vice versa. All in all a very fruitful relationship.Philippine Ambassador to Israel Macairog S. Alberto says that Israel is the second home and workplace of Filipino citizens. And that the Israelis and the Philippines are like a family. In this respect, I can also count myself among this Israeli-Philippine family.

Are foreigners rich? I would say that by Filipino standards that live in Nepa huts they are far better off. Rich? If the standard is that he can eat 3 meals a day and know he will eat 3 meals tomorrow, by that standard we are rich. Do we all have private jets and own 3 Benz, then no. I think the misconception is by what standard "rich" is defined.
