As an American, I've traveled throughout North America and Europe...my first foray into SE Asia was the Philippines in May. The people I met there were friendly and inquisitive...oddly fascinated by my green eyes. I watch many KZbin vlogs on the Islands and found yours by accident. Intrigued, I watched several of your videos and found you to be a gifted interviewer. You command of English is impressive. I enjoyed watching your husband play Santa. I laughed when I noticed you never let your interview subjects move out of the shot, you gently nudge them back without them realizing it. Ha...they cannot escape. I think you're the first person that asked their friends what they thought about a friend (you) marrying a "foreigner". I wondered if you were prepared to hear a potential negative response.

I would be interested to hear the stories about foreign men supposedly abusing pinays and whether these stories are true. When I meet my LDR pinay's parents to ask permission to date her [I intend to marry her] I need to know what concerns they may have so I can prepare to address those. Great interview! Hi @kevink1214 ! Most of people would say 'isa na namang Pinay/Kababayan ang nakaahon sa kahirapan' which means ‘another Filipina rise from poverty or kind of escape from poverty'. One of my classmates from college, he was gay and very talkative. He commented to my photo and my husband saying it. So I blocked him and up to now he’s blocked.
