I've always wanted to do this myself. Growing up, any time I went to a family members house or a friends house, I'd just start randomly cleaning because I enjoyed it. People would joke all the time that they want me to come to their house and clean lol. Sometimes people would get embarrassed and I felt bad about that. I always just told them that cleaning is enjoyable to me and I really love helping people. One time, I cleaned my grandmother's house and she was a smoker. After cleaning her walls she was like, "omg I thought I was going to have to paint and now I don't have to!" That made me very happy. Being good at cleaning was one thing I knew people liked about me so getting that praise was addictive lol. Once in awhile, I visit my parents and clean for them. It's something I've done for years.

@MeMyselfetMoi I never argue for the sake of being right, certainly not with fellow women, as I know we are all beautiful warrior queens. I am sure that there are ingredients that make it marketable, but sodium bi carbonate is baking soda and when you mix it with dawn it makes a paste, that is like a magic eraser in a bucket. I learned this accidentally because my littles wanted to make slime, and I had no contact lens solution or bottle of glue, but I had pounds of baking soda and dawn, which was an alternative recipe. It didn't make slime it kinda made putty so we played and as I started cleaning up I decided to use some extra to see if I could get a life-size crayon person off the wall, BAM rubbed it on dry rubbed in circles with my hand it came off like a magic eraser on steroids!! I use it for everything now! I don't know any of these things cause I'm great or anything. I'm mentally disabled (brain damage) I can't even make a meal anymore. But my allergies and OCD and inability to do much of anything else leave me to experiment and research a lot! Like unhealthy amounts. I experimented with the power paste, pink stuff, and slime fail. Compared ingredients and learned scientific names...it's an obsession, really. But really truly try it. You will never regret it!

I just wanted to stop by and thank you for your videos, for the instruction, for the humour, for the inspiration. Especially the inspiration! I have struggled with depression since I was a very little girl, about 6 (I'll be 56 in September so yeah, entire life). About 20 years ago my depression got really bad and my house showed how depressed I was. I was a single mom and I lived in absolute terror someone would see the absolute nightmare my house was and take my son away. Alas, that did not happen and now he's a 25yo father himself to a 2 month old son. His girlfriend and son are going to be moving in here, a different place, but it was really dirty as well because you never know when depression is going to hit plus add that I'm really lazy and...well anyway a couple months ago I happened upon this channel and started watching. Your techniques, the easily obtained products you use, your humour, and your absolute support of people like me has really changed my life. Right now if my landlord wanted to come in here I wouldn't freak out at all (well maybe a little bit because that's what I'm used to, it'll take time to get over that)! My place is clean and getting cleaner! So thank you, my dude, for everything. I would never have guessed 2 months ago how clean and organized my place would become! And also a huge thanks to Cleaning with Barbie because I watch her videos as well and she is also very inspiring! But I found her because you recommended her! I wish nothing but wonderful things to happen to you and I hope that the 'filth' that is your son finds a way to de-filth himself. One day, maybe. lol

I've started cleaning the house for them, as they aren't able bodied themselves anymore. When I do clean, I listen to your videos. You were right about so many things, and it's made it so much easier for me to communicate and help them without overwhelming the both of us. I'm doing it alone, so it's taking quite a while, but it's been a great bonding experience and I've learned so, so much. Not to mention, the whole house is memory lane :) We found so many pictures, home videos, trinkets and knick-knacks, old drawings from all of us kiddos, awards, interesting books, beautiful writings in notebooks.. It's worth it. You make me want to do this on a large scale for other people. Everyone deserves to have a home that's safe for them, even if they got it in poor shape themselves. We never know (entirely) what got them there. P.s. isopropyl + dishsoap saved my life. Name brand cleaners didn't touch half the mess, but that mixture with some elbow grease got the job done 👌

There's a mixture I like a lot to clean and sanitize all surfaces and gives a lot of shine in glasses and mirrors: half bottle of 70% alcohol and half of alcohol vinegar. I add a squeeze of lavender cleaning remover (here in Brazil this remover is a kind of scented kerosene). It sanitizes, gives the shine and keeps everything with a nice and clean scent - I uses it everywhere in my own house, including stove, cabinet doors, and it's perfect to finalize the cleaning after washing. Stay safe!

I'm not looking to start a business at my age and with severe arthritis in my back, but I enjoyed this. It's helpful for my home. I don't need a 'storeful' of cleaners under the sink. I would gladly watch more of these.

You are spot on about the cost of cleaning products. I just helped my brother outfit his new apartment with all the cleaning supplies plus a vacuum, broom, mop and it was several hundred dollars.

Thank you for what you do. Sometimes the elderly get left behind (spouse dies), they are lost or overwhelmed and help only comes after they fall or get sick. They don't like to live in a mess, but sometimes they are no longer physically able to do the hard work and too proud to ask for help. Or worse, no one to ask for help. So, Thank you for all you!

This video was my guide for my deep "move-in" cleaning at my new place. I went from a fully carpeted home to one with all laminate flooring and I didn't know how to take care of it. Thank you for eliminating the guesswork, the trial-and-error, and for all the time and money saved!

thanks so much for such an informative video! I do cleaning, and I always use my own stuff, including vacuum and mop etc. I am taking away as much as i can from this! I don't do extreme cleaning, I couldn't even begin to tackle something of that magnitude! I am grateful that you do because I love watching our videos! thanks so much for sharing! xoxo

I LOVED this video! Thank you for taking the time to show and tell everything. Please tell your wife that you showed us (viewers) the drawing you made of her & your daughter, and that you guys must have some totally awesome gorgeous wedding photos because you are both so good looking! Maybe you can show us one, one day. I’m one of the grannies who recently found and love your work (both decluttering houses & making videos for us). 🌹💖🥰

Thank you for this video and all your advice. I have been using your APC for a month or so now and love it! I ordered 2 cases of 6 each of the 91% alcohol from Walmart so that I don't run out. I also filled a small spray bottle with just the 91% and water to spray in my shoes when I come home from work and take them off for the day. I hope your shoulder is healing and feeling better.

This was an awesome video! I love it! 2 minor suggestions that might be helpful (if you haven't already heard and found them not helpful): 1: using double soap won't actually make anything cleaner, just harder to rinse. The extra cycles on hot though is perfect! I'm in love with Tide Hygenic Clean myeself. 2: I have found the Shark Navigator to outperform any other vacuum I've tried from low end Red Devils to super pricey Kenmore or Dyson's. Also not too pricey and can be found at Walmart and Target All that aside-I freaking love you and your channel and look forward to every video. Keep being you and we'll all keep showing up!

On area's that are extra cluttered I bring along 2 rolling racks. I got them at Sam's. That way when I'm sorting items, I put them on the racks. After everything sorted if I have move items that have to go to another room just roll it there. Helps with space issue, bending over and carrying things all the time. Fyi, I have a truck. Helps me. Like your channel, Thanks for sharing.

I've made my own MMC APC and have been using it for a couple of weeks now. Great stuff - and works better than I expected on mirrors and glass, so I can eliminate Windex from my 'cleaning product suite'. Thank you! This was a really instructive video. Would you be willing to do another one of these getting started videos on the actual filming/editing process? What camera / tripod set up do you have? What is your preferred editing tool/software? How many hours of raw material to you work with on average and how long does it take to edit. Also, do the clients (both paid and unpaid) sign a filming agreement with you? Any advice would be great!

I love this video, and when it was over I hit play right away again. When I was 14 I started working with my mom cleaning cottages for people, and that really put me onto deep cleaning as a hobby. I like how you have such a simple process and you categorize the products by what is easy and foundational, and what can be used for some extra shine and detail. You and the Detail Geek are both my favourite channels for cleaning, and my house and car are all the better for it.

You are a blessing to many, whether it's a paying customer or someone in need. Love watching you clean. Nice to look at when you bend over. So suck the compliment. Everything in your cleaning arsenal is in mine and for the same reason. Everyone gasped first time they saw me use oven cleaner on my glass top stove those many years ago. Like its a gasp when I say I use dawn dish soap for shampoo at least once a week to get rid of product buildup. I can't clean like I used to or as often but it does get done. Love you and your crew. Let us see more of your daughter. Lets see a line up of all of ya in a bend, that be cool hahaha. And God Bless.

I really enjoyed this video. I also own a cleaning business and recently started doing free cleanings because of you. I don't clean hoarder houses, instead, I clean for people with health issues and physical disabilities. I am also looking into creating my own youtube channel shortly. You are truly a blessing and inspiration to me.
