I'm going to try this hexagon pattern. I did a smaller sample piece with 1 inch hexagons. I weaved the threads at the back instead of leaving long threads. I know this is traditional English embroidery but it works for me. I hate long threads. Lovely clear instructions of stitching orientation.

This was a great video. It was an eye opener how small variations in a pattern can change the stitching strategy. Thank you for going over the nuances!

Excellent instructions, as usual. Thank you. I wish I had more hours in the day, more days in the year and more years to do all these wonderful things.

After having a bad day at work, I was so glad to come home and find this video! Thank you so much for this tutorial, its really cleared up a lot of confusion I had with the Kikkou patterns! I think I'm gonna try the Tsuno-Kikkou stitch next. Its so pretty and reminds me of flower crowns!

Just finish my first tsuno kikkou, I'm still struggling with flowers and this is a very nice motive to work it. It's satisfying to can reajust the flower on each lines. Many thanks for the step by step process ❤

what sort of fabric markers do you use?
@thegreenwrapper Жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking! For this project, I think I used a heat-erasable pen. It’s called ‘White marking pen’ from Clover. However, I use different markers for different projects and haven’t found the perfect marker yet😅 For many videos, I use a heat erasable pen, because you can see the lines relatively clearly on the screen. They are not quite perfect, though. Sometimes, they don’t disappear completely. I even made a video about different markers. Please watch if you’re interested 😊 Which fabric marker should I use for drawing Sashiko patterns? Sashiko basics series Part 4 kzbin.info/www/bejne/mmLSemaAjJaYbcU

@@thegreenwrapper thanks for your reply. I have also tried lots of markers, but they all have their disadvantages. I most often use Frixion pens and iron afterwards to remove the marks. If I am going to wash afterwards, I use children's washable markers to make my lines. or a sliver of soap which works well too.
