How Do You Upgrade A Solar WaterPump System

Thanks for this series, I've been watching them. So...if I wanted to increase the length of time per day that the pump is actively pumping, I could add another four panels to an RPS400N in parallel with the four that were supplied, thus giving me (still) 48VDC nominal but twice the amperage? Basically by doing so would allow the pump to start earlier and run longer? I don't want to increase my GPM rate because of slow well recharge, but I could get a bit more out of it with a longer effective solar day, is my thinking.
