A thumbs-up to you guys for a few things, not the least of which is choosing to review a base model of the Venza. Not everyone wants nor needs the top-end trims even if cost is not a consideration. I feel 18-inch wheels ride better (and look better than the 19s) which only come on this trim. The physical control knobs are also preferred as is the fabric seat option which I prefer over dead animal skin or Nuluxe vinyl. Lastly, kudos for verifying the power folding mirror option that not even the big-shot reviewers like Alex or Kirk bother to include. Just hoping that the 2022 model comes with Safety Sense 3.0 like the new NX.

Funny how every trim level up to the maximum $40K+ 'Limited Trim' have those tacky, corner-cutting fog-light cutouts - WITH NO FOGLIGHTS. WTH Toyota? I guess only markets outside the USA are allowed something as basic as LED fog-lights, so we get cheap-looking plastic cut-outs instead. What a surprise that the USA market always gets the crap versions of Japanese vehicles (with many models not being offered here at all).

@@fcnghkkc1 thank you that makes sense. I shopped Venza for my wife 2 years ago and couldn’t recall now. I drive it. Not bad. But, went a little over budget. I went next door to the Mazda dealer and fell in love with a Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring with Preferred Package that added more goodies than we needed for just around $33,775 + Doc & TT@L in Oklahoma. I was trading in a gorgeous VE Tiguan, a 2019, and the dealer wanted nice pre owned cars and it had 17,900 miles so they ended up offered to cut me a check for TT&L and then a check for $350 to buy some accessories and they tinted my windows. I have leased a lot of cars from Mazda. I’m 28. Well 5 cars between me and the wife and 7 in total because 2 were conventional purchases. Oklahoma City isn’t a huge Mazda market so they deal. It was in May 2021 before the inventory became non existent and the car prices sky-rocketed across Bidens America. Ugh

Wouldn't people be better off getting a Lexus?
@RT-yz9fp3 жыл бұрын
The Equivalent Lexus has worse fuel economy and has the same engine as the old Toyota RAV4. It’ll probably be a bit slower than the new Venza and Rav4 too and the technology is older. So, you’ll probably get a tiny bit more soft touch materials on the interior and you’ll get a Lexus badge. Considering all this, and the bigger price tag, why would anyone go for the Lexus? Status...?
@2004cyrus3 жыл бұрын
No
@rebeccaduenas56773 жыл бұрын
No. Venza gets better gas mileage and is equivalent to a lexus but more affordable.
@fcnghkkc12 жыл бұрын
A Lexus is worth the extra $. You buy for the interior and quietness. The suspension is tuned differently on the NX but basically RAV4 underpinnings. But not all people can afford a Lexus.
