My 7 year fixed index annuity out performed my stock market growth the last several years. Because it grew and my stocks and bonds leveled out. I added a little over 31,000.00 to my annuity. I have now put it into a 5 year annuity. I got tired of having a yo yo return from the markets. One day, good, then bad, then better, then back to bad, etc. Now all good. I don't need to draw from it nor did I from my stock market investments. But now I can see growth.. I have also started a CD ladder with 4 cd's. I like mine!

All your gains under the fixed index annuity (FIA) will be taxed as Ordinary Income which is always higher than Long Term capital gain tax if you put your investment in the equity market.

Hey Stan, great vid! How about a video spelling out all of the fees involved with a typical fixed indexed annuity (especially the hidden fees that the insurance agents never share with the customer)? Thanks for the excellent financial education.

That’s a great idea! I will tell my team about that topic. Thanks for watching!

Customer pays No fees on the product. Agents are reimbursed by the Carrier for the product, which is commensurate with a product, given that the customer has no carrying or annual management fees, unlike Money Managers which take annual management fees in losing or winning years, and For a product that has GUARANTEED returns. NO other investment vehicle can make this claim. So take your fees and get lost.

@aidankirby8412 Agents are paid by the carrier and that $$ comes from the lessened return the customer receives because they're sharing the overall return with the insurance company.

In the 12th year of a ten year Fixed income annuity. Had an income rider. Have some IRA's in annuities too. Don't need the cash. What should I do?

That sounds frustrating. It's disappointing when seminars like these don't meet expectations, especially when they're more focused on selling than providing value. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out! www.stantheannuityman.com/book-a-call/

Hi Stan! For a 5-year fixed index annuity contract, how would I be credited for the gains after the 5 years (assuming I do not purchase the income rider add-on)? Would it be a lump sump payment by the end of the 5 years or would there be annual payments (assuming the market went up for each of the 5 year)? Also, would I be subject to the 10% penalty fee if I withdraw that total amount after the 5-year period but prior to being 59 1/2?
@StanTheAnnuityMan2 жыл бұрын
It depends on the product. Some credit index-linked interest annually, some credit less often. It depends on the index strategies available.

Hi Stan. Can you open up a fixed 20 year annuity with a lifetime income stream? Does that product exist?
@StanTheAnnuityMan2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what you mean. Can you purchase a 20 year guaranteed rate and then turn on income? Yes. Should you? Probably not. With that amount of time to allow your funds to grow, the funds should not be in an annuity in my opinion. Thanks for watching!

@@StanTheAnnuityMan Am I able to do a 10 year annuity and then have the income stream turn on at age 55?
@StanTheAnnuityMan2 жыл бұрын
@@greatscott88mph As long as the income stream is set up for life, there shouldn't be any tax penalties. To clarify, you can do whatever you want. It is your money. I don't believe you should be thinking of annuities at your age and highly recommend you stay away from them until you are in your mid-50s. Stan, I bought a $100,00 10 yr FIA in 2021 and withdrew $10,000 from the FIA in 2022, can I put $10,000 cash back into the FIA? Also, can I make additional cash contributions in future years?
