KZbin randomly decided to recommend me this video pretty much as soon as soon as it was published. I'm glad it did. It's a neat explainer, easy to follow and somewhat in-depth (though going more in-depth than that would've served little purpose).

wowwwww????!! this video is so flipping good !! i love the melodica and i always love learning about science and the acoustics of instruments. this communicates how it works really well. i learned more than i expected from this. physics class right now is about fluid dynamics and this vid made me understand the bernoulli effect a lil better. and it is also fun to watch, the visuals are really really really good. also love how theres melodica music in the background. amazing

That's a wonderful job. Thank you for investing your time in producing this video. It is extremely important for us, melodica lovers. I also really liked the music. I loved it when during the questions the chord gained dissonant notes (a dominant chord). I also liked the use of the keyboard sound, which I usually adopt in my compositions as well. I would like to contribute by making the subtitles in Portuguese, what do you think? We already communicated via email once, I think we can continue this conversation there. Congrats!!

Very good video! I am thinking it must be a similar effect with the jews harp. Maybe the principle of the thickness of the tongue in relation to the opening plays the same role.
