My sincerest condolences to all that lost a loved one. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021. It was a very long process of chemo seeing her throwing up withering day by day with no knowing of what's next. She is now a cancer survivor and has recently done her first bone therapy in May of 2023 with the next around the corner. I may not have had cancer but I'm witness to it and I have the utmost respect for all of you who. I won't say everything will be fine because I know we'll never know if it will or won't. Love those who are with us now, remember those who left us and cherish those who are leaving us because all we'll have are memories. Thank you for the educational video. Blessings to all.

I lost my mom to colon cancer and Covid19 combined a couple of years ago. It was devastating to see her go in front of me. It was the most painful experience I ever went through in my life. I just wanted to die there with her. It affected the electricity in my heart. I still have shortness of breath and tachycardia from it. They are now trying to convince me to go on antidepressants. The whole experience made me feel as if a horse had just kicked me in the chest. I felt a lot of pain when I was in front of her. I still have dreams about her and I know I will see her again soon. Cancer is the most vicious and deadly disease on this planet. It sneaks up on you when you least expect it and evades sometimes medical treatment. I hate it. I don't want to see anyone suffer from it. God bless all the survivors.

my mother died in 2016 from triple negative breast cancer. we caught it early at stage 1 and she was given over a 90% chance of survival, but chemo, radiation, and a double mastectomy wasn’t enough. it spread to her lungs. Cedars-Sinai treated her, and they didn’t even realize it spread to her lungs until days before she passed. She was diagnosed at 48 years old, and passed at 49. a year after her initial stage 1 diagnosis.

It is the most horrible feeling in the world. My uncle was told he has 1 month. And it was exactly 1 month. No hope, no smile, nothing. Just pure nothingness. I can't even imagine how my cousin felt when he was with him his last moments. He said to doctors that he wanted to be at his home in his last moments. I visited them every day to give support to my cousin, and it was worse every day. Uncle was sleeping upstairs, and he didn't want anyone to come up except his own sons. My parents are around 70 now. And I pray to God they don't go through similar fate. I wouldn't be able to withstand it, and I know I would do something horrible in town. I must admit,i only found out in 2021 how people with Cancer actually die. I saw images of women with breast cancer in isolated, poor areas who had not been able to afford or travel for treatment on Reddit & could not believe how these women were still alive. Then someone told me its not so much that the cancer kills, its what it blocks or presses on. Its a very cruel thing for anyone to go through. One person wrote "if we didnt have cancer,we would live far too long and who wants that"?? As though cancer was a saviour. Clearly they had never experienced cancer or watched a friend or family member with it. My partners ex died of pancreatic cancer last year, she was in her early 40s,it was awful. The tumor had blocked the kidneys from doing what they were supposed to do. The first year was Hell ! I don’t know how I survived. The chemotherapy was as harsh as f…k ! It liquified the melon size tumor into 9 liters of cancer death. After failing chemotherapy treatment, I was treated with immunotherapy and then eventually CAR-T . I wanted to die ! The pain was unbearable. I cry every time when I think about these three years. My doctor said it’s PTSD ! But miracles happen! Here I am …. Better and in good health! In Remission now for over a year.

I lost my gran uncle to bowel cancer in 2012. I looked after him till the end but still haven’t gotten over the trauma of loosing him. I remember the look in his eyes during our last Christmas together with family, his spark and spirit had gone out and at the end of the day I felt emotionally gutted than happy for celebrating Christmas. I think that was the point that he realised that death was inevitable. I still cry for him to this day.

My mom lost her uncle yesterday by blood cancer, the last hour he was screaming in pain and the screaming made him not able to breath, which was his last minutes he just sat their gasping for air and the doctors did nothing because, they said he will probably not live longer than a month. his last words were “I love you son” and that’s when he died of suffocation. the part that made my heart just in sadness he died in pain.

Between the stage 4 breast cancer spreading, the radiation, the chemotherapy and sepsis that entered her blood stream there was no way she was about to eat. I already knew she was going to leave us. So I wanted her to be pain free as much as possible. In the end she told me thank you and I did the right things for her. At that stage, we just wanted him to be as comfortable as possible, and fortunately, all of the loved ones were by his side when he passed away.. He survived 2 years with cancer, chemotherapy and radiotherapy before he became too weak to undergo treatment.. the cancer metastasized to the brain, and he got into the state of delirium, he was admitted to hospital for a month before his health started going downhill and starting to depend on an oxygen mask, from there, things started escalating quite quickly and passed away within the next 48 hours as stuff became very fast, but the days felt long with distress.. We're now just glad that he's already at peace, reunited with my grandmother and in the arms of Jesus Christ.. God bless them always and let their memories live on..

He had always been pretty slim from what I've seen on photos, but got even slimmer as his cancer progressed. My granny, his wife, is dealing with cancer now. It's sad how many elderly people have this - people over 65 are over 3 times more prone to getting cancer then people around the age of 45. At least it grows slower because of the slower cell division rate. Y'all get yourselves checked up regularly and don't ignore persistent pain - it can save your life!

Hours before she died, she was happy, cheerful and ready to go home and a long stay at the hospital. At the time, I hadn’t understood about what kind of cancer she had, but last year I did a research project on it. Turns out she had stage 4 Neuroblastoma, which ment her chances of survival were incredibly low. And even then, the release rate was 50%, and once you relapse, the survival rate drops to 10%. I feel so much empathy for those with cancer. I truly hope that they can feel a since of ease by those supporting them and around them. I can only imagine how lonely and scary it can get to actually be in that position. However, strength is oddly found in the most terrifying situations. That thought keeps me in high spirits even though the factuality of cancer is disturbing and simply sad. Life really is precious. We should all appreciate what we have because even though things are rough and our pain is valid, there are some people that go through this on a daily basis... living in hospitals and going through the probably mental health struggles that comes along with it. My prayers are with everyone that has had, is experiencing, or has experienced someone with cancer. You all are fighters.

Cancer is just...Awful. It ruins future plans, hope, and people. It does more harm than good. My dad's former work friend, fishing buddy, and family member figure died from liver cancer last August. He fought cancer for two years and was only 65. I've witnessed several family members die from it throughout the years and it's hard to watch. These people go from healthy to emaciated, pale, and sickly overnight. I would say, cancer is the worst condition just behind Dementia. I have a family member currently in the midst of a brutal cancer fight and my parents and I moved two hours away from our old home to be closer to them. His is one of the most deadliest so his timeline is unknown, it's not pancreatic cancer but it is a GI tract one and it's metastatic. But thankfully, it's treatable and he's done quite well so far, just exhausted all the time. It's just hard to watch. I think what sucks is that cancer is a lot of times, something that wins and many of them are a sentence to your doom.

Even if the doctors say that there is nothing we can do, know that this is not true coming from someone who’s seen people who’ve been told by doctors that “they can’t do anything”. This is number one bullshit. There are so many cures to cancer but you need to RESEARCH. For example, doing prolonged fasting multiple times can cure cancer along with other treatment. Even in conventional medicine, doctors say there are only 4 types of chemo but THATS A LIE because I know people who’ve gone to other countries in Europe and done better chemos. This is just one example. I can say the same for surgery and everything. I promise you if you were to do everything in your hands to be cured then you would be cured. Prayer is key as well. This animation beautifully illustrates a complex process in a clear and accessible way. It's important to understand how cancer impacts the body, and visuals like these help demystify the mechanisms behind it. Kudos to the creators for shedding light on such a crucial topic with clarity and sensitivity.

I am shivering writing this comment. My mom was disgnosed triple negative breast cancer a year ago and we immediately started her treatment. She underwent chemo radiation surgery and was doing really went until a week back she developed breathlessness and we found out the cancer has spread to her lungs and heart. She is given 1-2 months to live. How does one go through such a hard thing? What do I do? I have sleepless nights and no appetite. I constantly think about her journey and struggles she went through to raise me and my siblings. How do I tell my younger siblings that their mom is not gonna be around by new year ?? 😢 Its like every part of my body is numb.. No one should go through such a situation with this deadly disease.

Let me clear you one thing- it isn’t as simple as she is explaining. Each day will feel like a month and each month will feel like a year until the close one pass away. For me it was my mother and watching her suffering,it felt like hell in a mortal world. The main thing is that you know she will pass away but you still got to say-‘ just a little longer until you are cured’

Mesothelioma is caused by asbestos. A toxic mineral that's used in alot of building material. Doesnt show up til 20 to 40 yrs later. I just got licensed.

@@pobinr , Yes. A lot of workers have been exposed to asbestos at their place of employment, and never knew. Separately, I read that a woman was diagnosed with sandblaster's disease. It turned out that when she was a child she loved the scent of scouring powder and would sneak long sniffs when she could. Who would think such a thing could kill you 20 -30 years later?

Its a horrible horrible death. I really doubt any person ever dies pain free. Hospitals simply cannot and do not give enough pain killer as they're afraid of killing them early. Its a shame assisted suicide is not legal everywhere.

My mother had stage 4 breast cancer. I had to watch her suffer via videos because I was pregnant and she was going through radiation and chemo. Anytime I seen the slightest change I would call and alert the nurses who didn't think I was right until it was too late. She would talk senseless to me and she was highly intelligent. I told them something wasn't right and sure enough her blood was infected which was sepsis and it pushed her demise. When I was finally able to be in the same room with her she died the next morning. I will never forget how helpless I felt and how helpless she felt. Her concerns where the children who had cancer that where on the same hospital floor as her. I've never seen someone so concerned about others while they were dying. But my mom was that person. I know your pain all to well. I'm sending you a virtual hug and love out of respect of what you've suffered as well. Heck my mom passed away in 2019 and I'm still tearing up as a write this. It never gets easy you just learn to live with the pain even after everyone else has moved on with their lives.

My cousin lost his both parents in 6 months period. It was absolutely horrible. I can't even imagine what he went through. When hes father got diagnosed with cancer all 8 doctors decided that there is no hope for him and he will have 1 month to live. Worse thing of all he heard doctors speaking outside. I don't know how it actually works did they told him he have 1 month or he heard them outside. I just hope doctors dont tell this stuff to their patients. When me and my brother visited him in hospital together with his kids, our cousins it was something like almost awkwardly silent. We were talking and all but what can you say? You will be alright? You are going to get better? No, in his case there was no hope and he knew it, and we knew it. Once happy man, full of jokes became empty eyed no smile, no tear, 0 emotion person that lost every bit of hope. Its still hunting me when I remember looking him at the eyes, telling him you are going to be fine.

Not a human being but I learnt so much more when I saw my dog battled cancer and lost. The cancer started at his spleen then spread to his liver and subsequently to his other organs. Treatment couldn't catch up with the failure of the organs. It is like fixing a badly dilapidated house. You fix the sink then the AC went spoilt and so on. In the end, the cancer spread to his stomach and intestines and he had frequent diarrhoea. It also spread to his mouth and he started to have problem opening his mouth to eat. It was heartbreaking to see him suffer. In the end, he died naturally in his sleep due to multiple organ failure. I am so sad and some days I still miss him so much. Miss and love you my Auguste boy. Stay happy in heaven
