How Does A Shift Kit Work? Ford AOD Transmission

I've only done 1 AOD, I put the Transgo kit in it. I liked it a lot, Transgo instructions are always very nice. My customer was very happy with the shift once he sorted out the adjustment on his aftermarket TV cable. Before I do another AOD I'll make sure to watch all the videos you have about them. I'm a knowledge sponge so I always enjoy listening to someone who is in their element talk about their thing, and you fit that description 100%. Thanks Jay!

The Baumann Engineering/ B.E. Controls ReCal shift kit is also my favorite for the AOD. 9 second power @ 3000 lbs, through a stock internal AOD with a Non lockup converter and that $50 shift kit.

Did you install the Baumann shift kit to Moderate or Maximum for the steps that require a choice? Still trying to anticipate the effects..

I've always used the transgo kits in c-4 and c-6's. I can recall when Gil Youngers image got granny glasses, lol.. But when I did aod's i also used the Baumann engineering kits. Talked with Karl Baumann on the phone a few times. Great guy. Thanks for the video.

Been trying to learn as much as I can about the AOD. The way you explain things is easy for me to understand. Are you able to explain the what effects the springs/valves/orifices/etc have on the Overdrive circuit? Also, looking forward to the T.V. video!

.. i bought a brand new fully functional Cheetah Valve Body off eBay when i rebuilt My C6, still sealed & dusty as hell like it hung on the Wall of a Speed Shop somewhere long ago .. detents in the Valve Body .. 🧰👨‍🔧

I've heard the cheetah stuff was good. I think they are still around but mostly do Chrysler stuff now.
