One time I decided to drop by church to find out the new confession times. As I drove onto the church parking lot I had a certain sense of peace. I thought it was interesting but nothing extraordinary. Then as I walked toward the church, the sense of peace got stronger. I opened the door and the sense of peace got stronger still. As I walked further to the center aisle, the sense of peace was overwhelming. Then I looked up at the altar and I saw that Eucharistic Adoration was in progress. I had no idea adoration was occurring on that day! When I gazed at the Eucharist in the monstrance, I felt the greatest sense of peace I have ever felt in my life. It was a tangible warm vibration that I never wanted it to end. I’ve received the Eucharist many times and I have been back to Eucharistic adoration but l have never ever felt that overwhelming sense of peace before or since. I think it was a one time gift to me from Jesus to let me know He is always truly present in the Eucharist. This is not a miracle that will convince anyone else but “I know that I know”what I experienced that day and I am very grateful.

Do I have to be a catholic to attend eucharistic adoration? I have been thinking about attending because my views on the eucharist have been changing and I have started to take the doctrine of real presence/transubstantiation a lot more seriously than before. I am still a protestant at this point in my life, but I have become very interested in this, and if Jesus is really there then I'd really like to go meet Him.

I would advise you to call local parishes, maybe talk to a priest. I don't think it should be an issue.

If you are just attending the adoration or just wanting to visit Our Lord in the sacrarium you don’t have to be catholic, but to receive the Eucharist you’d have to be. Because you have to confess before receiving the Eucharist and be in state of grace otherwise if you receive the Eucharist without the state of grace you are receiving Christ in a sinful state, therefore you are committing a sin. So, yes you have to be catholic to receive the Eucharist and I truly think you should become a catholic and follow the truth!

Hi just to clarify you don’t have to be a catholic to attend adoration or holy mass. But if you’d want to receive the holy communion yourself, you would need to convert and go to confession. The priest in the video did the same thing. He also wasn’t a catholic (even an atheist) and the Lord revealed himself to him while he was at adoration. So please don’t hesitate to visit our Lord and Savior! Blessings

Jesus wants everyone to come to him and his mercy. I find going to adoration amazing and healing in itself, as your spending time with Jesus who is truly presant body, soul, and divinity. My wife is protestant and attended adoration by accident, because Marytown in Libertyville IL is 24 hour adoration. She went there because of the Holy Spirit presants and she just knew this place was different. After I explained everything when we where dating, she was like wow.

@fundamentality. You don't have to be a Catholic to attend Eucharistic adoration. Anyone can attend to worship Jesus. You only need to be a Catholic to receive and consume the Holy Eucharist. God bless ! Best wishes from a convert to the Catholic faith.

When a relative died I was torn inside. There was nothing I could do as it was out of my control. That night I decided to go to daily Mass the next morning. I knew I wouldn't sleep that night in either case. When I got to Church it was closed because Mass had been cancelled that day. I knew that God understood my intention to be there. And so I knelt on the grass in front of the Church, knowing that the Eucharist was inside, and prayed a full 15 decades of the rosary for my relative. It was very peaceful and it was the only thing I could have control of in an incontrollable situation. I began going to daily Mass to pray for the repose of his soul and it brought me great peace.

I relate to him in the begining a lot. I do miss the certain feeling life had when i was more of a believer. The "magic" so to speak. That's not s great word i know. I know believing isnt about magic. But idk how else to describe it. On the other hand, i do feel a lot of peace and acceptance and an EXTREME amount of gratitude. That against all odds, i am here. And that even if we're just biological computers, we can be moved to tears by sound. Or look into each other's eyes and really feel connected. I feel strongly that this sort of "enlightened" state is available to anyone regardless of belief. Not saying "oh im enlightened" but i believe I have been in some moments i suppose. I think we can all feel connected and unified, snd experience some sort of transcendence. Idk if yall like that word transcendence I'm not tryin to creep yall out wirh hippy talk haha

There was a brief period in my life that I would classify myself as agnostic. One of my closest friends was also agnostic so we constantly bounced ideas and new spiritual discoveries off each other. I gave that all up years ago and I returned to my Catholic faith a few years ago. I recently had a conversation with my friend that involved religion and he’s still very much agnostic but I felt a deep sadness for him. I felt sad because I feel that he’s missing out on such a powerful connection to God. He suffers from depression but he’s a good person with a huge heart and very charitable so I know that God is in him, but I think about the joy and the peace he could be having if he gave himself completely to God. Please keep him and everyone else like him in your prayers.

He presents the best argument ive ever heard from an atheist against God. Because at the end of the day, it seems to be the case that the unbelievers etrongest evidence is their own perception of what makes sense (not necessarily what should be). How do you argue against what seems to make sense to someone in a general sense. At the end of the day they have to question themselves and be open to the possibility. If theyre not, you cannot argue them down.

It's God's plan, but he encourages you to improvise rather than keep all your emotions bottled in. Better than blame God's will for bad things, laugh at the adversary's attempt to steer you off the path. Comedy beats piety in every test of faith. Demons hate when you laugh at them, even your own demons.

The laughing at demons is an attempt at resilience. Laughing at adversity is sometimes a way to distance yourself from the pain. I am often really good at being unaware of my own emotional state because I got good at pretending to not be bothered. Comedy is great but doesn't replace facing the real issues. I had to hit my darkest point and to be in real emotional agony before I was willing to walk towards Jesus. Thank God I wasn't strong enough to laugh it off, the love of God met me where I completely fell through and I know God will be there when humor is gone.

I'm talking about a big Zen Buddha belly laugh that knows the real demons are the mirthless traits in our midst who would regulate comedians out of existence so nobody's feelings are hurt. The world has been programmed to let our worst demons have the biggest voices, treading down on all our God given freedoms and choices

There are so many "I was an atheist" stories that I hear from believers. I'm sure some of them are true but I've delved in to a few to find out they just meant: *I went through a season of doubt where I wasn't as strong in my faith.* This doesn't apply to all but I've found many it does apply to.

Worse yet, when I ask them what changed their mind, rarely do they give anything of substance. They tell me they read the Bible or they asked God in to their heart. I ask them what about the Bible or what God did in their heart. They tell me I just have to do the same to find out. I've done those things. It didn't work.
