How does an entry level long travel TRD Pro 4Runner handle the Dunes?

In today's video we test out what the WickedCreations +3" long travel kit is capable of with a set of ToyoTires Open Country Trail R/T's! Plus a bit of insight to what lead into L1 becoming the 2JZ monster it has become!

Man that's a sick build, and can definitely jump. I have a non long travel 4th gen (just has some fox suspension) that I've had off the ground plenty of times, you just gotta find a more aggressive spot haha

The panhard bars in 4runners creates a wierd shimmy in the back too. more travel with a panhard will just amplify that unless the panhard is crazy long and perfectly level at ride height.

Hey man love the content! Can I ask what you’ve done to cover the air intake? Is it just open under the glass? Also what rear setup are you running in l2? Fox 2.5s with what springs?! Thanks always!

We just run an outerwear on a cone filter. Rear is Fox 2.5's with some 600 lb springs! Extremely mellow, bypasses are a must at this point!

What does this do to on road manners? Is it one of those things that is awesome for its intended purpose but makes you hate daily driving it?

Honestly it makes the truck substantially better on road, as it becomes a lot smoother. Plus the widened track width it feels super stable in corners as well.

What axles do you run with the +3.5. Im ising same arms, and dirt king axles, I get so much droning and vibration noise from the front diff/axles at around 30-40 mph, its driving me insane. Do you experience anything like that?

You should rewire the rear locker to just run off of a relay/switch instead of through the ECU. That way you can turn on the rear locker whenever you want. Also, whatever happened to the Procharger from Lunar1? Can you swap it over to Lunar2 for a little more power?

So we did every single wire possible on the 4wd ECU, the 21's don't like any form of bypass as it's looking for more levels of CAN protocol than before due to the crawl control functions.

@@natedrives_ wonder if you could throw in a resistor of some sort so it still thinks it's there. It annoys me to no end that I can't engage this stupid locker outside of 4Lo. Like, how am I supposed to do these sweet donuts at Ocean Shores with an open diff?
