Good video. What you made clear is that its also beneficial for controller users to play with and without assists to see if they get faster, because they cán become faster. As for me: - I keep TCS off, no matter what type of car. GT cars tend to be... Rather difficult with TCS off, but it is extremely rewarding if you keep control of them. - ABS on, always. Even with ABS on, you can still brake like you DONT have ABS, ABS will only turn on when you absolutely need it. If you are capable of braking without ABS, you can leave it on nonetheless since ABS will not 'take over' your braking ability. - Manual shifting. Manual shifting is so much faster than automatic shifting. Really people, if you can, start learning to manual shift. Remember what corners can be ran through in what gear. Shift down a gear if you understeer through a corner, it can help with turning as well. - STM I will turn off and see if I can improve my times, thanks to your video. However, in older forza's STM was really helpful in a lot of ways. So it 'scared' me a little to try this out. ;)

@BOL_KAV10 ай бұрын
Thanks man being smooth does help to be fast but I think timing also helps to keep smooth around corners and a bit of throttle control helps once you start turning around a corner you shouldn’t have to readjust and if you have to you should use the throttle to either understeer or oversteer depending on the circumstance that’s why my cars are always loose so I can basically place the car where ever I choose which doesn’t necessarily make them fast but I’m here to have fun I’m not a pro 😂😂

Nice video! Shows the quick difference between settings. But I’m a skeptic about all, no disrespect intended. Small sample size here with your own tendencies blurring results. Still good info. What really is needed for a great experiment is multiple drivers, good players, all using different settings and getting very good with them. Then compare lap times, review differences and attempt to catch fastest settings/players Then tabulate results and fully describe the pros/cons in each portion of track for each setting type. Thanks for posting!
@BOL_KAV10 ай бұрын
🤔hmmm Yhh understandable but I think with good players this doesn’t really applies to them because they will be good regardless if they use assist or not if anything I might slow them down in places they’re normally fast and for that experiment it’s still going to be a thin line because the drivers that’s not using any assist at all will be faster than the rest purely because they won’t be held back but there’s definitely pro and cons depending on the type of car and track
@YNLEXPOSURE10 ай бұрын
So are you saying All assists, even ABS slow you down some, even minor amount? It would be interesting nonetheless for a panel of good players and maybe another panel of fair quality players to do their best with no assists vs various combinations of assists. I’m a retired engineer and enjoy analysis of blind comments. Thanks for your contributions!

@@YNLEXPOSURE the problem is irl assist 100% needed but in these games its sooo unrealistic especially when it comes to tuning the cars if you look at the set ups on some of the fastest cars you’d be confused cause irl that would never work 😂

I see what you're going for, however I can use the exact same argument for the inverse. After your video, I decided to test it. I got a 1:25.5 in the same car, with everything off. I tried it for a few laps, couldn't do better than that. Turned TCS sport on, and set a 1:24.8 So by using the same logic, I have come to the conclusion that having the assist on is better. At the end of the day, assists on, assists off, it doesn't matter, it's all really gonna depend on the driver.
@BOL_KAV10 ай бұрын
All depending on the tunes that people are running on the cars but like i said running anything more than sport your not going to be able to keep up with the good players if i was to run full down force grip set up and actually sweat 😅 someone running tcs is not going to keep up cause powering out the slow corners tcs would just be cutting the power at any sign of slip

Nice I would recommend turning TCS and STM off, it just makes you slower. ABS doesn't hurt your time. Not sure what your aero was but the time seemed a little on the slow side. Forza GT cars always Full front Aero and no Rear aero if you want to run the fastest time (Only exception is like speed tracks like Le Mans or Daytona). If it oversteers too much you can tune it out. If you are interested in competing in private lobbies we host 4 races a week. Let me know I will send you the discord link.

You need to try with Traction control on both On and Sport, Stability is what's slowing you down. GT3 has traction IRL. I've seen another channel where he did a comparison with the traction controls, TC on was faster. Stability control is what's robbing you of power. Personally I don't like TC set to ON, to slow off the start of races, Sport seems to be my favorite.
@p1rturk59810 ай бұрын
That is incorrect TC on or on sport will slow you down. Most likely the tune is really bad which is why TC had to be on. Or the person doing the video is not that good of a driver.
@flymaster99xxl10 ай бұрын
@@p1rturk598 I agree on the older Forza's. Seems the new one it's not a handicap. I've put TC on at sport, very few people beat me. I take first in about 75% of my races.

@@flymaster99xxl we have a saying. Everyone thinks they are fast until they join the private lobby racing. The public lobbies are absolutely terrible when it comes to race craft and race pace. Don’t get me wrong you may find 2-4 people that are decent but that is it. Try getting podium when you have 20 drivers all fast.
@flymaster99xxl10 ай бұрын
@@p1rturk598 Can't argue with that. When I played with 6-8 people in my party when the game was newer, there would be 6-8 fighting 1-8.

This isn't an objective test. As you noted, you would need to change your driving style to get the most out of having assists on. So to really see how much difference you would see between the different levels of assists you would need to do many more laps to allow yourself to get used to the changed settings and to have a large sample size. So instead of 1 or 2 laps, you'd need to do more like 100. You haven't really answered how much of a difference the assists make, you've just answered how much slower would someone, who's used to no assists, be if they tried assists for a lap or two.
@BOL_KAV10 ай бұрын
Definitely more laps with each of them would be ideal but at the same time in race environment you rarely going have they track to yourself it was more of a rough and ready test
