How Does Beyond Blue Compare to the Endless Ocean Series?

Thanks for the review and comparison. Beyond Blue, although it has better resolution, is not nearly as detailed or as interesting to look at as Endless Ocean (as you noted). I've actually noticed this about most modern games. Although modern games have much "better graphics" they are becoming less and less interesting to look at from an artistic point of view. Probably many reasons for this but it likely mostly comes down to developers using a more homogenized set of game creation tools and engines.

That's an interesting theory! Yeah, I guess a lot of games these days are made in one of a few big engines like Unity or Unreal.

Thank You 😊, especially for informing of the play time at the start, that's what got the thumbs 👍 from me. I personally will not purchase nor play this as post "Endless Oceans" series and honestly any deep sea slower game should be at least 6O+ hrs of play time because the brand of folks who even care to play this genre go in expecting tons of detail, story, searchable are and ENDLESS reasons to be searching, collecting etc!

But so glad it's making a return I have not found another game that does this genre anywhere near as good in that Endless Ocean just made me want to go into every nook and cranny to see what could be there
