If you use mosaic mode, there's suddenly a ton of levels and it's actually really great. There's even strategy in which you place the Switch in order to be able to hit all the tanks, so there's a puzzle element to it. There's way more levels, I think there's like 20-25 stages as opposed to 3. (don't quote me on the numbers). So basically, the tank game is worthless if you don't have multiple Switches.

It is possible to use a Switch Lite, but it's not as good as a real Switch, as the screen ratio is equivalent to the Switch.

I LOVE the way you talked about this, it PERFECTLY conveyed my feelings about the tanks games. I just want a totally new tanks game exactly the same as Wii tanks but more, like actually coop, an actual 1v1, a team mode where you can’t kill each other but who ever has the most kills wins, online multiplayer, offline multiplayer, a story mode, (basically single player with more levels but you can save between them) more tank types, there are SO many options I would love to see it done right but, I honestly don’t see it happening.

To be fair, NDCube (the developers of this game) also made Mario Party: The Top 100 and Super Mario Party. Even though Shell Shocked was originally featured in Mario Party 2, Mario Party: The Top 100 included a more re-polished Shell Shocked. Same with Super Mario Party -- NDCube also developed this game and it features the respectively titled game featured in your video: Shell Shocked Deluxe. They didn't necessarily steal from the Mario Party series (maybe they did with MP2's Shell Shocked), they just re-used assets from their previous works. Other than that, fantastic video!

Steal in this annotation means steal that game's originality. To recycle. To copy and paste. What he said was correct, you were just reading the wrong annotation of how he was using it. It literally is a copy and paste. They took what that game had and put it somewhere else. He wasn’t saying they was stealing something from someone’s ownership (the devs) but rather they were stealing from something’s spiritual ownership (the game’s).

In deference to the videos at the beginning of the games, they aren't really meant to be tutorials for the games. After all, there is a How to Play option on each game menu! The videos are meant instead to be a teaser of the game; showing you what to expect and how the game looks like in play. Also, even if the people playing doesn't have a "realistic" relationship, I myself at least found them to be quirky and entertaining.

They should have just used the bumpers to not "aim" your tank shots but to rotate your tank top clockwise or counter-clockwise. I feel like THAT would have gone a long way and fixed a HUGE part of the controls. Crazy part about that mapping, THIS IS EVEN POSSIBLE FOR SINGLE JOYCON! The problem is not the single joycon use but rather that they want to limit the buttons to make it more accessible to every single person on the planet rather than the people who would actually make up the actual playerbase. Grandma on her death bed? Even she has to be capable of playing, so you aren't allowed to have more than 2 buttons. Side note: I don't think "lobs" added ANYTHING to the game because if you are in a position to lob, the enemy would or atleast, "should" also lob as well where there is no way to use it advantageously. The land mine ability was WAY more versatile back on the wii.

Hello! I wanted to tell to you that I played team tanks in portrait mode, and that I could describe how it is. It's basically the same, but the portrait part is really done nicely : it works, is very cool and a bit impressive... But the major feature is that there's a lot more levels. I don't know how many exactly, but there's approximately 20 levels, wich all have interesting and new layout, a new boss, a new type of tank (it's just a faster one) and new looks. The game's fun, and there's a bit of puzzles, trying to put the screens in a way that blocks the opponents will helping you is really challenging in some levels. I really recommend you try it! P.S. you can play with only two switches and one copy of the game. The other person has to install the demo version and you can play pretty much every 2 player games with only one copy of the game.

To me if it was a few dollars Eshop game (or obviously alternatives or just considering that it was sold for the other games included) then it would be worth it but otherwise yeah asset, controls, camera, copy paste/same engine and fitting whatever on the cartridge/making tons of party games in a short time it's not surprising.
