This is the same tractor I bought new in 2020 . I had the dealer install a thumb on my backhoe . I have removed stumps two times the size of that stump . I also installed a 24 foot 18 inch Galvanized Covert with my tractor. Picked it up off the trailer with the Backhoe and thumb . I'm 100% impressed with My Lillte Boy Blue Tractor. Work Horse on my little 4 acre off grid Homestead.

I can't speak about JD or NH specific (what separates a caseih from a nh) but Case IH (and New Holland common parts are the same price) is kinda funny. Some stuff is pretty reasonable and other stuff makes you wonder how much gold is in it. It's all over the place.

As much as I love the functions of the 1025R, and that is my tractor of choice, I wouldn't be too upset if when your done playing with this one and of course making a few upgrades, you can just drop it off at my farm. Loving the blue, thanks for the demos on this model. It is very interesting to watch someone who is experienced with the sub compacts using different brands and being able to compare real time operations on these units.

Fun to watch. Used equipment takes time to go over. Like Holly's broken seat back. Removing stump and roots allows you plant something. I watched a channel with a Volvo 250T excavator pull 14 inch trees and stump out in 30 seconds. 36 inch wide bucket with finger attachment.

Tim, I had about a 30" hemlock stump that was right beside my woodshed and I dug it out with my Kubota B2920 with the BH65 hoe. I put about 3 and a half hours on my tractor and couldn't lift it when I got it loose but I finally got it out. I rolled it about 50' to my burn pile and I'm amassing a pile of brush around it.

Last year I had an apricot tree removed. It was almost 44 years old (planted in 1976 or 1977). The base of the stump is over 36" and the height was about 45 ft. Many of the branches were 6~8" in diameter but a few were over 12" diameter. The reason it was removed: some of the roots were under the slab of the house, the porch (solid concrete) and the brick chimney. It was cracking and had already caused damage to the drywall by cracking it. The roots are all over 8" diameter and go down as well as out to the sides. About 12 years ago I removed a mullberry tree which had a tap root going down about 3.5~4 ft. with lateral roots (6~8" diam.) going out over ten feet. I used a tracked digger and almost upset it trying to dig out the roots. I ended up hacking them with an axe and a chain saw then pulled them out with the bucket.

I just bought a new Workmaster 25. After looking at all the brands extensively, the New Holland is clearly built heavier, has better features, and is arguably higher quality than the 3-series Deere. It's night and day. The Deere of the same price is a very economical, low end tractor with aluminum case and weak lift capacities. The New Holland Workmaster series 25/35/40 is very robust and has higher ratings for 3 point, front axle, loader, etc. Plus it comes with mid PTO and rear remotes standard, cruise control, quick park loader, larger tires, and more. Night and Day difference from the green tractors. I actually started my search by shopping Deere thinking that's what I wanted. After looking at several brands, I was shocked at how weak the Deere spec sheet is!

@@TractorTimewithTim Yes sir I was looking at the D and E series because price-wise those were comparable to everything else in the class. I found that to get the same build quality, lift capacity, specs, and features I could go to the R series tractors and then Deere has a very nice product. But, the R series comes at a hefty added cost! In the subcompact field I can't really comment, but among the compact field of tractors the New Holland is almost certainly the best value on the market. Thanks for the videos. Always enjoy them!

Its made to be run at full rpm. 3000. And I dug out a Stump/root ball of 600lb. I grabbed it with the rear backhoe once I ripped the roots and lifted the stabilizers and the front came right off the ground about 2 feet and drove out off the whole. Its all about the operator from my experiences.

I have the Mahindra Emax 25 with Bucket & Backhoe I usually run and 2600 rpm when using backhoe and I have dug up some pretty big stumps with the machine. It takes time but I always get it done. And sometimes it's audio not just with filming either. Loud noise can get wearing and makes for unhappy neighbors. With a non-emission machine I'd run the throttle just high enough to get the job done as efficiently as possible. Maybe that's full throttle and maybe that's part throttle. Another Audio concern is if you are working with a spotter and you need to hear him/her.

We paid $1.499/gallon with no delivery / no inspection fees. This is up from paying $1.149/gallon last year. Everything I am reading tells me now is then time to buy. Buy all you can fit. Fortunately for us, we own the two tanks on our property so we are allowed to shop around. If you have propane tanks, fill now.

I have the RK24 with the backhoe and mechanical thumb. It looks like the New Holland is struggling more than my RK34 does. It does have the single function "issue" and the curl does have the most power. Given the size of that stump, I believe your analysis of the bucket length is correct causing loss of curl power. The RK24 does have power to break through 3/4" roots without an issue. Hardwoods would be more difficult than softwoods. Comments from a fellow Hoosier.

I think most owners for these scuts are new to the world of loader and backhoe use. The long handles make it more controllable (smoother/safer) to those users when first starting and then it just becomes normal to them. The faster something moves the more you have to control the input. A lot of vehicles use speed sensitive steering to help with control. It would be interesting to see the cycle times of the functions on the backhoe and loader. An option would be to put shorter handles on it if that's what you're used to.

I’ve always loved the blue paint but they just don’t perform the same. Just as you mentioned the bucket being too long. I think the loader bucket has the same issue. Hey Tim. Just a thought. Do you think the long handles had any effect on the smoothness of the operation? It would seem the long handles would have a better control over the hydraulics. @arthurr8670

Dpf issues were common when they were first starting to be used, and still are. Part of it is operator error since it's required a change to how you operate the machine. Finding a good dealer is more important than the machine brand, unless you are you own service person.

With all of that going on at once, pretty sure I would hit the house! It will be interesting to see how the machine pushes with that low range. Just finished digging a 50ft trench at about a 4 ft depth in hard clay. No question it works better at higher RPMs. Faster and stronger. I'd compare the curl strength to a 1025r, but definitely has a lower lifting and "pull" capacity. Leverage is key on these and I think the long reach penalizes it. Did the job, so that's all that matters. Right now, trying to figure out if I can mount a winch to it for tree dragging.

I switched to a kubota L2501hst with a LA525 loader and BH77 hoe with thumb best machine I’ve ever used. Plenty of power it says 25 on paper but Dynos @ 33.6

A few things I saw right off was the throw length on the controls and the not as rigid mounting of the backhoe assembly. Seems to be more movement than I would have expected. The control levers really take a lot of movement to get action of the functions. Nice looking tractor but not on par with some of the others.

I noticed when you were in the higher rpm the back tires were moving very little and slow at moments. Well the one in camera view. Made me think that maybe pressure was getting to transmission somehow. Maybe a seal issue? Just had me curious, great video. As always love y’all’s videos

Tim, if you ran the Throttle up a bit it wont Struggle qith the pressure and I dont know if its a good Idea to leave it in Gear, i feel it qould take away from the Hydrolic pressure. Just my 2 cents worth. Love your Videos.

How would a stump puller compare between the stump grinder and backhoe on a subcompact or a small compact tractor?

Take Holley and Johnny, line them up side by side and see which one is faster. You could also create a little obstacle course. This would be quite entertaining.😂😂

John deere faster. The loader runs faster @ idle than kubota @ wide open. Compared them side by side.

Cutting the stump higher will give you more leverage on it when digging it out.

Tim, I love your channel and you look good on blue. I own that NH Model and Ive operated both the Kubota and JD subcompact hoes. The New Holland is every bit as strong as the other two. I think it may be operator familiarity as it is for me when I jump on green. Tim, what do you think? Keep up the good work!

I would be interested to see a lifting capacity comparison of the different backhoes, along with curl strength if that would be possible. It's not something you see being compared much in videos, just on spec sheets which don't always mean much. It does appear, going by the construction, that this is a big lighter hoe than the one on the 1025r. Looks can be deceiving though. Regardless it looks like a nice tractor, even if it is just a rebranded LS.

Tim - How do I find a second bucket for my Mahindra backhoe? How do I know what my digging bucket pattern is or style for mounting the bucket?
@TractorTimewithTim
@TractorTimewithTim Жыл бұрын
You’ll likely think my response is rude. I do not intend that. However, not stating this would be irresponsible of me. This is one of the primary reasons to buy one of the two major brands. You can easily find accessories which fit. I know of no one who makes buckets for a Mahindra backhoe. Can you find one to fit? Maybe. It is possible that the backhoe is made by same folks that make Deere or Kubota backhoes in which case you could find one. However, I don’t know that. So, now you are down to measuring your existing bucket, pins, etc, then searching based on size. This is a difficult task. Sorry.

@@TractorTimewithTim Totally understand Tim. I wasn't sure if there were industry wide standards or not. My 12" bucket is great but sometimes a bit of a bull ........ I like the Hindi though and the 28 Max is pretty sweet just not fancy.
