@@unreconstructed, our healthcare system is deeply dysfunctional, that's for sure. I have family in both England and South Korea where they have single payer plans and it works quite well. Wait times is one of the false bugaboos that politicians against nationalised coverage wave about. Well, I have a wound on my leg that is ready to be skin grafted but the earliest appointment I could get is in late July. How is that not a wait time???!! I can easily believe that congresscritters and other politicians don't have wait times but for the rest of us, waiting for appointments and procedures is just life as usual.
@unreconstructed5 жыл бұрын
@@GrainneDhu I agree, it's messed up. California just voted to give illegal immigrants healthcare at the cost of taxpayers, while citizens and veterans are left out in the cold. Our hospitals are flooded with illegals giving birth and getting healthcare without paying a dime into the system and it's quite draining. If we cut out a large portion of our welfare programs, we could afford healthcare for every US citizen. But also, I know some British citizens who have come to the US to receive cancer treatments, because they would have died across the pond.
