You DARE question my tactic of turning vampires into soup cans?? It’s only nearly killed me three times!

Love the themes of mage (pride and the fall). Shockingly the system makes a good deal of sense to me, however will admit as a ST. I am terrified to run it, as good Lord the possibilities are endless.

The main thing woth running mage is improvisation be flexible enough to run with whatever insanity your players decide

Great video. I've never played mage, but the lore sounds super interesting.

Thank you, it's referred to as "the thinking gamer's game" and rightfully so. I try to make the lore as easily digestible as possible, though 🙂

Yee almost satisfied this question. "What are the mechanics of Magick ,how does it operate, what are the blue prints?"

I like these videos, they help me understand the lore much easier and it's so interesting! Honestly I hope in the future that we'll get novel games like Night Road with the other settings they have, like Mage 😸

My fondest wish is more books and games in the WoD setting, and that it will be found by new people who will come to love it as much as I have ❤

Did Mage: The Ascension use the word "Magick" or "Magic"? In this world Crowley changed the spelling of "Magic" to "Magick" in order to make the occult information easier to find. Adding fiction to it once again makes occult information harder to find.

Thank you so much for this lucid and concise summary on Magick. As the core concept of MTA, its all too easy to get sucked down the rabbit hole and become overwhelmed by how Magick works. On a personal note, I'll take the world of MTA over Hogwarts anyday. Most excellent video, Huddy!! 😋

Can coincidental magic be used to enhance your own luck for exactly that? I'm new here but I imagine that could work with the right paradigm.

Why aren't there any videos that cover the actual how-to mechanics? Every mage video is all about the lore. But not, this is your dice pool, here is how your roll, etc. I am convinced nobody knows how to actually play the game. Even the book itself is is like 600 pages of lore and maybe, maybe buried somewhere in there is the actual rules and gameplay.
@Huddyvonschland3 жыл бұрын
All of my videos are about Lore. I do not go into the mechanics of any of the World of Darkness games I cover, not even Vampire, which I play frequently. You're in the wrong place.
@thepitchnerds91863 жыл бұрын
@@Huddyvonschland No I understand, its just hilarious. Every youtuber that mentions this game only discusses the lore, the core rules book itself is mostly lore. I have never seen a system (even in World of Darkness) so focused on Lore without explaining the gameplay or mechanics. I am not sure a right place even exist. I think I am on page 200 of the book and the world seems really cool but I have no idea how to play the game let alone GM it. It hasn't even mentioned dice yet.

@@thepitchnerds9186 Might I suggest watching an actual play, to get an idea of how the game is run. This is master Storyteller/GM B Dave Walters in "Order Across New York" kzbin.info/aero/PLHVibqh7yRwrR-T4_IXjpsa-qhy2jkDen

@@Huddyvonschland Thanks I appreciate the suggestion, I figured I would have to find some gameplay streams. And hey, I found the rules! They start on page 384, guess I got another 184 pages of reading to get there :)

It's mostly since it's strikingly rules-light. It's a group telling a story after all. There are rules, but it's best done looking at the actual book to figure out what you're doing. The information in M20 is pretty easy to find at least.
