Just yesterday I was talking to a SX2 friend who asked me how SX2 is present in men according to E2 book and thus video pops up. Anyways, this is what the book said: "In the case of men, there is often excessive softness and politeness, with feminine and delicate behaviour and facial expressions. Sometimes they display tremendously masculine attitudes, and other times, they are subtly effeminate and seductive, combining this coquetry with childish behaviour and patterns of sexual promiscuity, and with dependent and childish attitudes towards women."

THANK YOU for making a video about this. I’ve had such difficulty explaining the concept of masculinity/femininity manifesting in e2 subtypes because the e2 men I know are genuinely SO DIFFERENT than the e2 women I know on a superficial level that when I present my takes people do not take me seriously.

This is a very well done video. I really liked how you managed to explain everything in a way that was easy to understand and follow but not shallow. I’ve been looking for a channel like this one for a while and I’m really glad this video showed up in my fyp. Also I’m looking forward to the next instalment in your psychosophy series.

With simp and incel cultures existing, I really don't think the archetype of these sort of non-stoic, romantic type men are really rare at all. It's also extremely common in men who're really close to their mothers for better or worse. I think this idea that everyone still tells men they should be stoic and uphold traditional values is very very long since dead and I don't know why people still drag it out. The problem is that people want their cake and eat it too. They tell men to be emotional and to not bottle up their feelings, but whenever men are emotional and don't bottle up their feelings, they're labeled as dangerous, or their attacked for their vulnerabilities. People tell men to act a certain way while punishing them to act the way they're told to, then they wonder why men reject what they're told. Trophy wives and traditional wives are very very VERY different concepts. "In male culture, love is sometimes thought of as the abundance of sex." Are you smoking crack? Who thinks that? It seems you have a lot of trouble separating fictional media from real society beliefs. Media is man for many reasons other than depicting what's real or what society actually believes. Even then, do you seriously think there's a shortage of films depicting men as the pursuers of romance? Genuinely, I have no idea what you're talking about. You dump observably false information, and then speed past it as if it's commonly understood fact that doesn't need to be explained why you believe it to be that way. It's hard to evaluate and criticize statements with no logic given to them.

Thanks for the in depth reply but let’s keep it nice next time 1st: While yes the norm of the “stoic male” has been brought down, I still think it’s the general status quo. Especially outside of the bubbles of America and areas without social media and digitalization 2nd: When I say traditionally, I’m not referring to an “average.” Traditionally refers to deeply ingrained beliefs that have been passed down by old heads. 3rd: This video isn’t encouraging men to open up or embrace their emotions or wtv. Frankly, I don’t really care. This video is strictly about the enneagram and how masculinity can cover the 2. 4th: “in male culture love is blah blah blah” and all the points I listed are the most MASCULINE way love it thought of. Not for men but just for MASCULINITY. Especially traditionally 5th: and I made the disclaimer in this video for this exact reason but when I refer to males I intend to say ultra MASCULINE men. 6th: And the thing about, “is there a shortage of films blah blah” NO absolutely not. That’s why I made the disclaimer that I was referring to MASCULINE MEN. And tbh I don’t see very many movies about masculine men openly embracing love with Atleast a little push back. So yes I think it’s difficult for hypermasculine men to embrace and outwardly express love… I don’t think that’s a hot take

Good video! Can you go into what you meant by 2s being one of the most conforming types? I have heard they express this by adapting their speaking style to effect or lead but is there more im not seeing?
@jograves885926 күн бұрын
Had this question because watched your video on Light and I dont see him as conformist (or at least in the traditional way) Also maybe this is a difference of how 3s, 9s and 2s express conformity differently
