How does my Mercedes w210 E50 AMG Look Like On The Underside?Underside Restoration Inspection:)CLEAN

Hey there people
After a 6 month *"detailing abit everyday" kinda ownership....my car is kinda getting there .It is starting to be presentable...and looking like i want it to look like on the underside.Still along way to go..but it is pleasing to see that i can continue doing detailing work..and it just gets better and better.

My GOD that is clean. Mate once I get my own lift and shed i'm going to fully under detail my E55, E55 210, S600 and E550 xD Will take a while but i've been waiting soo long to get that sort of access you have :) !

Heyy there.thank you veeeeery much for kind words :) Yes the car is used in the summer only.But it is used in all types of weather..so its not just sunny summer use..its ALL summer..from april and up to october?last season was my first season with the car..so...alot of work was put into it then...but this season..i will be using it from when the spring hits...and to autumn..early winter hits..before they salt the roads :) And yes...steamwashed the car when i got it..so i could start the inspiection early on :) But it is only in the last previous months i was finishing off ..and finally could conclude that the car IS in good condition..and i have been able to get it up to a respectable point :) Thank you .Greetings from Norway ,Stefan

Hi Stefan .. You have a great car there - I just got one like it, a 1997 E50 with 123000km on it. I'll be going through much of the same process as You have. Where and how do You find parts, I'm mostly looking for service-parts - filters and such - are they the same as the E420 ?

hey there mister.Thank you so much.Well...i reckon some of the filters are the same yes.Air filters are different.I havent done direct comparison between e50 and e420 filter parts numbers,so i really cant tell.But most likely ...oilfilter, fuelfilter, Automatic transmission and inside cabinair filters /and active coal filters are the same.I buy all my service parts from where i work..so i can get hold of most brands of filters..but i always stick with either Original Mercedes Benz(from the Mercedes Benz Dealer), or Mahle, Knecht or MANN filters.

Hello Stefan, Wonderful cleaning work, Congratulations 👍👍👍 Maybe you can answer this question : My E50 has normal shockabsorbers on the rear axle, also no accumulaters obviously. Do you thing that it was an option to choose by the customer while placing the order for the car? I suspect that everything is already present on the chassis, (holes, mounting brackets etc) So maybe the upgrade is possible? Thanks for your post, I wish you a great motoring summer 😀👌

Hey mister Chevalier :) Thank you so much for kind words. The ADS system was indeed an option when ordering the car . Not many of these cars were ordered with this system.At least i havent seen it in many cars.But eitherway...the upgrade is possible i reckon..but it will take alot of work,and it will be expensive to get hold of all the parts. ,Also, i do not think every hole and fastener is there from the get go.It would need to be fabricated i think.I hope you are having a great spring and summer too :) Greetings,Stefan

Hi Good video and good job done for this e50 in awsome condition. Little question regarding your rear shoks, may you give me the part number please. I also have ads system on my e55 but there is a side higer than the other i am about to change these shocks but i wanna make sure they fit. By the way do you know the meaning of the "6" on it? And secondly, may you tell me how to fill in the hydraulic system while you change the accumulators? ( specific things to do or the pump push the oil?) Thanks Best.

hey there.Thank you so much for kind words.Ill try and answer your questions :) The parts numbers for the shock in the rear on my car is :A2103201513 ,,but i cannot say at this moment if that is correct for your e55..but i do think they are the same. How to fill the system..is to fill it up. loosen the level valve rod from the stabilizer bar...connect a bleed tube to the bleed nipple on the leveling valve...open the bleed nipple..and cycle the valve lever up and down..or at least to one of the positions..so it "opens"..But to be honest..i dont think i did anything when i bled mine previous..i just opened the bleed nipple..and the system was bled. The thing to remember is that the valve can be open or closed..and you want it to be open when you bleed the system..so the air comes out..but for the most part...my experience says that it will " bleed " itself for the most part...but to be honest..you should cycle the level valve arm/rod up or down..to open and close the valve as the bleed nipple is open. The "Number" 6 is just a rating of what type of shock it is,,it was used during assembly as an assembly aid as far as i remember and i am beeing told by a friend. @@TheCarTakerGaragethanks for you prompt and accurate reply. Sorry but my english is not so good. I m not sure to understand what "valve leveler " is, near the stabilisation bar i cant see anything. My shoks references are same than yours, i removed my springs this weekend to clean all thats stuff and try to understand where is coming a tilting noise on the rear right wheel. A really annoying noise whish comes form this wheel. I thought it was my bearing but as i level up the car no more noise by mooving the wheel, no room also. And when i touch the top part of the shock and i push the car (before levling it up), i feel the noise (vibration coming though) so i guess it comes from shoks, I found new ones but seems to be e50's ones and not e55's (01 2400 102 392) i m surprised that our shocks numbers are same than mines, anywah i think i will firstly change all rubbers, i ordered the control arm ones and top springs also. I will reistall it then check it again. I do not find any video about sphere or shocks changing, if you plan to make one it would be perfect ;) hopefully my bushing changed may fixed the noise if not i have to change shoks (i do not know how) Do not hesitate making video on ads system ( not enough in youtube) See you, Best.

I gonna buy over a few weeks a E50 engine with a broken chain and a lot of other parts like brake calipers. Contact me if you need something and maybe i will have it.maybe i will sell the engine also if its too much work for me.

@@high5compliments45 As far as i know..the problem is that you cannot get these on the aftermarket.They are a special size.,..and as far as i know they are not the same size as on the e55 that came later...but i havent done to much research..as i do not need brake discs at all.
