Didn't get the concept of delay queue and also the issue you yourself raised like what if publishing MSG itself is getting failed in Kafka and one another one was there what is the solution to that??

Delay queues are like dump queues. Suppose there are 100 events to be processed in Kafka. 2 of them fail processing. You dump those events to these delay queues. These delay queues again push back these failed messages into the main queue(Kafka in this case). For the problem of message itself getting failed before writing to kafka, will create a separate video on that.

@@Techie007 The description you gave sounds like a DLQ(Dead Letter Queue) and not a Delay Queue.

@@arpanmajumder655 delay queue and dead letter queues are not much different. Delay queue also has the capability of pushing to the main queue with a slight delay. In a dead letter queue, the messages are just collected with which you have to take some manual actions. This is my understanding. Correct me if I am wrong.
