How does CDN come into picture during live matches of hotstar. Do we actually consume content from CDN ? If yes, how does hotstar get time to publish/cache the chunk ?

Hey, you started off really well, however onwards the 7 minute, I felt that you started using some very specific terms quite interchangeably; without considering the implications. Also you went on to say that "you will make a call to the DB, to get the URL and related metadata ..."; and now I'm thinking that, are Instagram's backend databases really that exposed?

You are right. Should have explained it better there. By making a call to DB, I mean that from the app(client) you will be making an API call which in turn internally be calling the DB. Hope that clears the confusion.
