Got a fissure from food poisoning diarrhea. 2 months after food poisoning, the fissure pain during bowel movement was excruciating. I healed it in a week by a combination of simple things. 1. Don't strain during bowel movement, relax and allow it to pass. It'll still hurt but causes minimal damage to the fissure. 2. Limit to one bowel movement per day, drinking good amount of water. 3. Buy a homeopathic fissure ointment. 4. Sitz bath with epsom salt after bowel movement. 5. Clean up diet. Eat good quality meats, eggs, etc. Avoid gluten, fried foods, vegetable oils. I literally don't eat fiber and have perfect bowel movements. Supplement with glucosamine, msm, and collagen peptides along with the essential vitamins and minerals if you can afford it. This fissure was bleeding, causing a horrible effect on my quality of life, soul wrenching pain..... but I beat it once I implemented these things.
