How Does REDDIT Feel About The Fall ANIME 2023 Season So Far?

Honestly 9/10 Attack on Titan ended, jujutsu kaisen is on fire right now (seriously every episode gets better and better 🤯) and One Piece long @ss arc FINALLY ended. The new anime are also very enjoyable

let be honest here this season alone is 9 out of 10, with all the good show that in this season it make all the mediocre show( shield hero s2,kingdom of ruin, goblin slayer,The Demon Sword, and The Faraway Paladin)look really bad, but if you all those mediocre show in another normal season they might stand out more. this season have so many mediocre to great anime i loss track of some of the mediocre and i have to go back to rewatch it

This season is pretty good pretty pretty good frieren and apothecary are pretty nice, i knew the 2 before thanks to their source materials.

ragna crimson has me on lock. story has some holes, "inciting incident" was fire but the little girl has disappeared on us - but... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Top 3 of the season in no particular order for me would be Frieren, The Eminence in Shadow & The Apothecary Diaries. In addition, I also feel the exact same way you talked about in the video regarding this season of SxF

Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange, is also a show I'm currently watching that I don't see mentioned anywhere, although I really don't think I'd be recommending it to anyone as it's just a very realistic (other than the MC's physical/mental fortitude) depiction of Firefighting, which I personally like, but I don't believe many people (especially in the Anime community) do lol

The first season was crazy like most of the short animes but the 2nd one gets boring and repetetiv

@@luose same thing with The rising of the shield hero and maybe a bit with Mushoku Tensei even tho the 2nd season was still enjoyable but i mean the first one was a masterpiece.

@@wildorange7157 Yeah shield hero I just lost all interest in and I really enjoyed the 2nd season of Mushoku Tensei but it is probably a mixed season for some people

I don't know perhaps i'm getting old, but i cannot stand those fighting animes anymore. I saw some hints of JJK in shorts and i really do not like it. I especially despise when innocent characters get killed in the most gruesome ways. I think that might be a reason Kingdom of ruins is nothing for me. At least by judging the little i saw about it. I really like Frieren though. Maybe because the fighting is rarer and then not too over the top and ridiculus. I mean Frieren VS Aura was hardly any fighting at all but damn the end of the fight was sick. I really liked the fight of Fern and Stark VS Lügner and Linie too. And the second anime i really like this season is "The Apothecary Diaries". Maomao is one of my favorite characters of all time i think.

I get it especially if you been watching anime for a long time you become a little picky on what you'll allow yourself to watch, yeah Frieren has a nice balance of fighting and slow character/world building moments the fight scenes so far oozes confidence within the characters fighting, yeah Apothecary Diaries has been fantastic and Maomao is such a great character I am curious in learning about the trauma she's hiding

Killing off beloved characters will always be a thing, because it's meant to make the viewer sad. It's for the emotional roller coaster. It's not just a thing in "fighting anime". Maybe you need to switch to comedy and Iyashikei e.g. Girls Last Tour, Quiet Country Cafe, and Love and War.

@@NoidoDev True I think most people are used/numb to it but I also get why people wouldn't like it or get annoyed by it because sometimes they kill off characters just to kill them for shock factor but everyone is different

@@luose it better to kill off the character in a memorable way after their role is finished in the story. i still remember how Kento Nanami died and how bad ass his ending is.

@@khanhnguyen-tt3ff If it makes sense and its not just random a death for sure but there have been many anime in the past that just killed characters just to kill them thankfully anime has gotten better with how to handle that and yeah R.I.P a real one
