i agree, i normally dont like him in his own videos, though i really appreciate the information and details he delivers when he guides us around a new car release, i think he is doing an outstanding job (and everything from memory, no notes no nothing), but as far as he comes accross as a character, i dont like it. But in this podcast here he seems very normal and knowledgeable. I just wonder why he is not like this in his own videos. Probably because it would not generate that many clicks, so needs to be more 'excited'.

My gardener works hard, my cleaning lady works hard, recording videos of expensive cars and posting them isn't exactly hard work. People that work in fields picking crops in the hot sun, put roofs on houses in the hot sun and do construction work in the hot sun or freezing cold do hard work. He consistently churns out a lot of videos that make a lot of money but he's not working that hard. The term hard work gets thrown around a lot and people equate making a lot of money with hard work and that's not true. My neighbor owns a huge asphalt paving company, he sits in the house or in his office all day, the guys that work for him putting down hot asphalt, they work hard.

The reason why Tim and Shmee150 are so big in the US other than the population is that virtually all prominent US Automotive Content Creators put their success down to being inspired by the Shmee150 brand and they often post this on their channels. They regard him as the true OG. In the UK the other content creators are mostly good friends of Tims and as such tend to regard themselves as equals in the KZbin game.
