There are kinda 2 kind of possible ways of teleportation: the Portal one and the Half Life one. The Portal one is basically a wormhole, some how you bend/collapse one dimension so you can travel from point A to point B (of 2 dimensions) without a gap. It sounds complicated, why not start with something easier- I think- and then take it to a larger test. I think to send something in an e-mail, say suitcases, objects, then maybe people or pets? I would not want to be on the first transport. I will wait until after they have a few "recalls." It just seems like energy particles and bugs would be combined with the transported person, so it seems like the machine would have to scan the image first to send to the destination, so the exact person gets transported.

It may well be possible to teleport but that would really be creating a second copy of yourself on the otherside. The copy on the initial side would be destroyed, and you will die. The new copy would have the awareness and the memories of the old copy, so to his it seemed like nothing happened.
