I lost my job due to not being able to afford childcare. I’ve been unemployed for more than 30 days. I’m currently facing eviction, I have court in a few days. I submitted my application for emergency rental assistance almost two weeks ago but my application has not moved. I called the era phone number and was told that if my application doesn’t move by the time of my court date, then to just call back with the judgment the court reaches and they will handle my application immediately over the phone. I’m so worried…

Honestly I don't believe it's possible because people are aware of landlords my current and past and how legally they get away with their activities . Not following through with legal responsibilities and relying on people feeling like they have no other options and nobody's gonna give a shit and knowing how to word things accordingly to infact slide through while people like myself and those I had shared rental space with . Getting away with absolute slumlord behavior. Police knowing aswell as laughing in my face when I called for their assistance . They are connected and assist each other to continue to get away with taking advantage of anyone they choose. Nobody cares..
