It would be good to get the greens leader on to talk about the coalition government.

Tasmanian here. Get half an hour out of the city and not a single person can stand the greens. they are horrible for even remotely regional communities.

Rational political collaboration requires a sophisticated multi member electoral system, informed voters and lots of goodwill. Politics can be done differently.

May work in the ACT, but the differences are much bigger in other jurisdictions. Federally, in WA, in Queensland would never work.

The ACT is the only place in Australia where a labor greens coalition can actually work. Anywhere else it would be voted out within a term.

The multi member electorates are the key to encouraging collaboration: members need the preferences of other parties to get elected much more so than in single member electorates.

I disagree. The Labor people and supporters I know are fed up with Labor constantly attacking the Greens rather than focusing their energy on the real enemy of good, the Coalition.

@@coasterblocks3420 Labor people are not fed up with Attacking Greens, they are obstructionist anti worker party masquerading as progressive party. But they don't ever want anything done unless they have full control.

Now here is where I wonder if @AuspolExplained watches my videos and got the idea to interview Andrew Barr from me.

I got the idea after interviewing Laura Nuttall and wondering how disagreements between Greens and Labor get resolved given the mixed duties and policies between the parties, sorry.

This seems like it works, no where else does Labor give two shits about public services if there is neoliberalism that they can pursue instead.

@PandaKnight52

That's a flat out lie. Labor never pursued a full neo liberal agenda, everything was done to the prevailing economic theory of the day with the key focus being on workers, i.e the safety net, super, Medicare, etc.

"Greens party" or "Greens political party" - still can't just go with "Greens" (which is their actual name!).. You'd think Labor in the ACT would have bothered to get this right by now FFS.

In ACT even the greens refer to themselves as the greens so your point is invalid
@--Nath--

@@johnhamilton6003 you misread. The greens are indeed "the greens". What I am talking about is how Labor insist on adding "political party" when it isnt their official name. Like calling Labor the Labor Political Party.. It's ALP's version of misnaming them for the sake of it. They seem to be confusing the UK's Greens equivalent naming at times.

I wish Labor wasn’t so antagonistic towards the Greens federally and in Queensland. Labor tends to forget the enemy is to the right, not the left.
