In 2020 the whole world was shut down. I was deeply addicted to drugs and my wife finally had enough and left with the kids. Shortly after I was homeless and suffering drug psychosis. One night i was scared to death and on the verge of death and I cried out to God! I instantly felt as if 1 million volts of love entered my body and I finally knew the real God of the universe. Ive been in recovery now for almost 5 years and I have a job, an apartment, a car and also my KIDS! The Christians were right all along.... the truth was right under my nose the whole time

Jesus answered my cries in a cold dark solitary confinement cell 2018, just starting to withdrawal from opiates. For the first time I experienced very minimal symptoms, fell asleep peacefully! To put it in perspective, I spent $500 to $1000 daily on drugs and alcohol to drown out PTSD so the withdrawals were absolute hell and lasted two weeks with no sleep and terrible symptoms! After my time was served I continued sobriety, lived for him over eight years now and he’s done so much for me, I cannot tell it all. Even my mental state was restored, I’m happy finally.

You could search also Ron Wyatt footage of having found the Ark of the Covenant where angels told him to take a black substance and have it analysed. Ron filmed how the substance was taken to the Antiquities Authorities in Jerusalem to have the substance analysed and when he returned for the result they said it was living blood from the time of Christ and that it had 24 Chromosomes from his mother's DNA but only 1 Chromosome from his father's DNA The antiquities authority were obviously warned not to make the findings public. So this has been denied. However, they display a small artefact with pomegranates that Ron gave to them because it is unlawful to keep anything of antiquity so he gave that to the authority. It is displayed without any mention of the man who found it. There is always opposition to truth by those in opposition to truth. But we will know the truth and the truth will set us free from those in power who subjugate us all by their lies and deceptions.

Honestly it was a big fan at the beginning of the pandemic and then near Christmas when vaccine started rolling out my dad refused to get his first one even though he has respiratory problems and he quoted Dr John as the reason he didn't get the vaccine. My dad ended up in the hospital on a ventilator with COVID and usually if you're on a ventilator from a respiratory issue you chances of surviving and getting off of it are very slim. My dad was lucky but I started watching Dr John in January and my dad found him on his own I think in the fall of 2020

He will fill up the hole in the centre of your being - where the pain is. It is difficult to describe but when we pray just with our mind, it seems nothing happens. When we pray from a deep place, from the heart, with our deepest will, God does answer. I should explain that it is not that God is reticent to help us (He REALLY wants to) but there sometimes seems to be a barrier in our mind/heart that makes it difficult for God to break through.

I was so pleasantly shocked to see this drastic change in topic on your channel! When I first read the title I didn't think you could be talking about the shroud! I am so happy this was the case! I can't tell you how thankful I am to you for using your platform to bringing this important relic to the attention of the general population. To me this is such a miracle and my faith was set on fire when I learned about this shroud and all the fascinating secrets it holds. I also am convinced it is the shroud that covered Jesus Christ. I hope if more people are aware, more can turn towards Him. Just like the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the shroud has the potential to save many. I would also love to see you do an episode on the scientific research done on the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, it is also miraculous and the scientific findings are mind blowing. It was the reason for my re conversion to the faith and then I stumbled upon the shroud and I am in it for good! I've heard about the Shroud all my life because my maternal grandparents came from Turin. Neither were religious. But both were very emotional about the Shroud's authenticity, which I doubted and unfortunately scorned for many years being a young brat who thought I knew better than "religious hokus pokus." Then I changed, to their delight, and even evolved to become a devoted Christian. But in this phase, up until your presentation, I would have been dismissive, thinking Jesus would rather we concentrate on understanding and practicing his teachings rather than argue over the authenticity of the shroud. Wrong again. Your presentation has left me emotional. Not even prayer nor Bible study has brought me to tears for His humanity and great sacrifice for truth, for us, on the cross. Humbled.

You can adjust that scale as you come to appreciate certain astonishing facts about the universe, such as the fact that there is something rather than nothing, which is remarkable in itself. There is also the fine-tuning argument that posits the appearance of our kind of life or even the matter that supports us to be highly improbable. Then there is the fact that at no matter how small a scale we examine life, we see irreducible complexity which makes abiogenesis a moot problem. There is also a particular fact hiding in plain sight which suggests that we are living in a truly magical universe. Not Harry Potter style magical, but fantastical nonetheless. It is the fact that we are conscious, self-aware beings and not merely meat machines. Not a single law of physics, chemistry or biology explains anything to do with our consciousness or how it is grafted onto this fleshy apparatus we inhabit and yet for most of us it is the most prized aspect of our existence and forms the core of our ethics. How is it that the centerpiece of who we are can't be explained in any conventionsl way, even in principle. Psychotropic drugs, alcohol, fatigue, adrenaline do seem to alter it in some way but that's a far cry from coming up with a Grand Unified Theory of consciousness. It is a radically different thing from anything else we know about the universe. All this is just to calibrate your comfort level when talking about the universe and its possible divine origin. I don't think any of the above precludes one from accepting that the universe is certainly very strange and a God explanation, at whatever level you wish to take the word 'God' to mean, is no more strange or false a move. But here's where non-theists get queasy because they know that once the God hypothesis is on the table, it is harder to dismiss any examination of the data for a particular God claim e.g. for the Christian God as having merit. Christian theology doesn't sound so outlandish once you realize you have already bought into the utter strangeness of both the universe's existence and our own existence within it and this creates a space in which one might, without losing any respectability, examine the evidence on an otherwise science channel for the authenticity of arguably the most significant Christian relic, on which topic Dr Campbell has done an admirable job.

Yes James, I believe the holy spirit within Jesus seared his image on the shroud at the point of resurrection. I also believe it was done as further evidence that Jesus was crucified and indeed resurrected on the third day. All the tests in the world will never dispute this as indeed many have tried to. I've always believed the Shroud is of our Lord Jesus Christ. I'm not catholic but I happened to stop by the Church of Corpus Christi in upstate NY. I met the priest there who had been very involved in the Shroud for many years in Italy. His church was dedicated to the Shroud, Corpus Christi means the Body of Christ. I was a brand new Christian, had never read the Bible. When I walked into that church I just started crying and crying and couldn't understand what was happening. The priest showed me the photos and the statue that represented what you showed here. We shared such a sweet time of fellowship, like we had been friends forever. I knew nothing about the science, this was in about 1984, but my heart was broken but filled with such love and that was science enough for me. Thank you John for showing this, you've brought a precious memory back fresh to me. The shroud fascinates me too, can't wait to watch this video. First I looked at the comments, and I see so many testimonies silimar to mine. I seeked God with "just" rationality and understanding for many years. I believed rationally but never truely. Stayed in doubt for many many years even after I got baptised. But one night when I put my face down on the floor and cried out to God to save me because I struggled for sooo long with ptsd, depression, panic, addictions, etc. and I was so tired I really did not want to live anymore.. I was completely done with myself, my life and the world around me. All I longed for was to make the suffering stop. And I too got overwhelmed with a love and forgiveness out of this world. More love was pored into my "vessel" than I could handle. It had to stop because I would explode from love. And just like one would recognize their father, mother or anyone you know well, I KNEW it was Jesus. When you experience this, every cell in your being knows it is Jesus. I thought I had screwed it up forever and if God existed, He would NEVER want me back. Instead, He forgave me and I truely felt forgiven. And yet I continue to sin, but every month less. God is real. But for many of us all the scientific, philosophical and historical evidences don't truely convert us, it is when we truely encounter the living God when we get truely born again. I wish this for everybody on this planet! No matter who you are or what you've been through, God wants you to know Him and love Him even though we can't love God 0,000001% of how much He loves us! It can be a very long, slow, painful experience but just don't give up and keep seeking God, keep repenting after your sins, keep knocking and God will reveal Himself to you like He promised!!! Our cooperation with God's grace is essential to our salvation, for incarnation is God's way with us: we are incorporated into our own salvation by God's Incarnation into our humanity. I was drawn to the church 3 years ago, I kept seeing crosses everywhere! I always found the evil in the world hard to reconcile until I recently left a high church and found myself in a Vineyard church! I have seen several excellent documentaries over the years on KZbin that featured Barry Schwatz in them before he died. If I recall he was sceptical at first but later came to believe the shroud's authenticity, mainly based on the work of a husband and wife team who focused on the pattern weaves of the shroud. He was convinced that the shroud was authentic from evidence that the sampled regions (that were carbon dated) were medieval patches that had been applied after fire damage. The weave on the main (unpatched and undamaged) sections of the shroud match the weave used in 1st century Jerusalem whereas the snippets taken from the outer edges of the shroud for carbon dating used a medieval weave.

That was well before the most recent studies and the 3-D aspect was discovered. It can only be the Shroud of Jesus. Thank you Dr John Campbell! As a Catholic this was already completely acceptable to me and all my family and friends bcoz of our Faith. But it surely is a pleasant surprise and a welcome one at that, that SCIENCE, which most people are now believers of, almost like a religion itself, including a good number of skeptics from all denominations as well, that SCIENCE has finally advanced enough these days to have the tests possible for these skeptics to believe. Intriguing is absolutely true, but science did finally catch up to “revelation” at least to a significant extent. Eventually it’s so obvious that science would only head towards proving many such “miracles” or “faith / beliefs” when they do the proper detailed tests and have the technology to do them. Science couldn’t find all proofs as yet, but will hopefully find more as we make more technological progress, provided they also have a pure intent to find the truth, and no stakes in the process to maliciously change the findings to suit someone’s prejudices or mal-intent. That’s also a reason why this took SO long! Yet, better late than never 🙏🏼☺️ oh and the strange “short, immensely powerful burst of light radiated” is what we believers proclaim and believe, undoubtedly now showing up here in the Shroud…the Resurrection! The scientists used projective geometry and photogrammatic survey techniques to tease out not only some unnoticed details, but in effect a time-lapse image of body movement made by intense pulses of light. Hello Dr John, as a young boy back in the 1960s I learned my scriptures at Sunday school just like everyone else at that time, but as the year's have rolled on by I had forgotten what a big part this amazing man played in all our lives. Nowadays I suppose I would class myself as an agnostic or even an atheist at worst. But whilst watching your video, something about the shrouds image's made me cry, I just couldn't help it the story I learned all those years ago of a good man being persecuted in this way just flowed out of those images. I've been following the Shroud research since the 1970s when I was a teenager. subsequent research and tests and re-tests have only made it more fascinating, more baffling, and more mysterious. My faith was never dependent on the shroud. But it is continually challenged by its image and every new revelation (including the inclusion of time lapse movement recently discovered). Thanks for this intermission from the usual horror show of life in the 2020s.

The shroud of Turin does not support the Scriptures about the way the Jews were buried and what the Scriptures say about Jesus's & Lazarus's ressurections. The Scriptures mention multiple cloths on the dead bodies and it was common custom to wrap the head separately which was the burial custom of the Jews. John 19:39,40 Joseph of Aramathea wound Jesus's body in linen cloths.Other translations say wrapped, bound the body. Lazarus's body was treated the same- John 11:44 his feet & hands were bound and his face was bound separately. Jesus said to free him, which shows a cloth was not just on top of him but many cloths wound around the dead body before burial. After Jesus's resurection John 20:5,6,7 shows that Peter had seen a cloth that had been on his head was lying separately, away from the other cloths that used to cover his dead body. Certain groups of people in History have used items that supposedly were part of Jesus's death and burial as icons, talismans. God does not approve of images, icons, statues,ets as part of his worship. Matthew 27:59 in the KJV mentions a single cloth, whereas in the other Scriptures mentioned, it was multiple cloths, wrappings or bandages of linen. All scripture (about a subject, not just one verse) is beneficial for...setting things straight. 2 Tim 3:16 The Scriptures are clear that Jesus was buried in the custom of many wrappings around the body. The head wrapping was separate, Lazarus needed to be freed of his bandages, Jesus was not there in the tomb, but his bandages were left separately in more than one place-where he once was when his dead body had been placed in that tomb. The Jews did not use a single large single cloth in their burial customs and the Scriptures support this... 1 John 4:1 warns us " Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired statement, but test it to see whether they originate with God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world".

Your other notion, "God does not approve of images, icons, statues,ets as part of his worship," does not notice the fact that God directed the Israelites to make the bronze image of a serpent, set it up high on a pole and have the people come before it one by one to be healed. God also gave explicit directions how to make the bronze images of angels to set upon the Ark which Ark was so sacred that no one was allowed to touch it after it was filled with the three holy things. Also, as to relics, people were healed by touching Peter's handkerchief etc. Don't be such a protestant.

Brilliantly covered, it may be out of fashion to believe in God and there fore Christ but I had a very privileged position in so much that I have delivered babies and sadly despite my best efforts have also been there at the end of life, I've held the hand of a very frightened elderly Lady who knew her time was nearing its end and although I was a stranger to her I held her hand to give comfort and I am so sure that we do go to a better place. without question. Astounding! I first found your YT channel in January 2020. In fact, you were one of two KZbin channels that I watched, learned, and prepared for with the COVID Pandemic on a personal level. Not only are my wife and I are both deeply indebted to you, but so many friends and acquaintances who also learned from you, and prepared. Of course after I pointed them to your channel. Your knowledge, mannerisms, and teaching skills made the entire ordeal bearable. And as is often the case, a man's wisdom is rarely confined to just one subject area. I am so delighted to find you posted this - on the Shroud of Turin- as it has become a subject on which my wife and I place great importance in our intellectual and spiritual study. And as is typical of today's world, much of it involves our frequent visits in and out of the world's first truly universal video library: KZbin. We haven't watched the video itself, but your video is currently awaiting our Supper Theater..... and we are excited. My faith is what has kept me going. Not a follower of any official religion, but brought up Protestant, yet through my musical education and one of the best teachers ever to have the privilege of studying with, a Jew by birth, converted to Catholicism, with a huge knowledge and passion for his subject, history of Music and Art. As a scientist, I think this was a good digest summary of all the findings to date. I’ve followed the developments of the shroud research for many years and the evidence for this being the actual shroud of Christ appears strong and convincing. The Catholic Church has a devotion known as the 14 Stations of the Cross. Concerning the injury to the knees and shoulder, it is interesting to note that in this devotion there are three stations where Christ falls (he falls three times).
