Accessibility is such a huge thing in product design these days, that is definitely the case! I'm a product designer and as soon as I saw it I was like "yep that's intended for people with arthritis or issues with fine motor skills"
@AuroraLalune4 жыл бұрын
Me. Actual person with arthritis. No. Just no. That looks harder to use than figuring it out myself. When can opening is a problem or has been a butter knife works better.
@geneMag4 жыл бұрын
the concept is good, but the geometry of the product seems less than ideal. The can opener bit looks like those old-timey tin can opener blades that you gradually saw into the lid. And using it for opening tabs... A rounded spoon is much easier (and way safer) to slide under the tab and pop it open. Bottle opener's for very specific diameters, and looks like you need a lot of pressure for it to properly grip the cap. There's existing products that let you clamp onto the cap easier and with less effort (nutcracker-like hinges or things that you wrap around the thing.)

If i try to open or pull something with my fingers, twist something etc, i have to use multi opener, and it's really nice, because i don't have to ask help everytime. And that is a huge thing for me, i can do stuff by myself. That might sound weird for someone, but when you lose your ability to do something and you need help every day, that little thing is huge and makes me happy, it proves i can still do something on my own, even if it's "only" bottle or some sort of jar.

The vegistick could be working by absorbing the gasses given off by some veggies(such as broccoli) that speeds up the deterioration of some other veggies. That's why grocery stores have similar layouts for fresh produce, it is the optimized way to store things long enough to sell then it goes to you frig's drawer and goes bad in a week from being next to each other.
