Pile 1 for a minute sounded like me. I'm an overthinker. I just recently had a discussion with my old neighbor about the way things were going. I was feeling like he may have someone else. Oh man I went back to look at Pile 2 because of spill the tea. This pile sounds like what i'm going through with my old neighbor right now. I told him that I didn't think it was a good idea, as it was coming up on his wife's birthday and she died the day after her birthday. It had just been a year. On top of that, his kids mean the world to me and I would never want them to think ill of me. That I was around, because my intentions were to come to their new house last year and she ended up going into the hospital and never made it out. He said that he talked to his daughters, which he also has a son, but his son joy laid back and I don't think that it would bother him as much as it would his daughter's because that was their mother and I could never betray them like that. So I am struggling with trying to be with him, because I feel like i'm betraying her and her kids. He said he talked to the girls and they said it was okay yet when I went to see him Tuesday. He had the storm door locked. He had the dead bolt locked too. If they were okay with it and they were coming to pick him up for dinner, because take it, this man doesn't drive and he didn't drive back in the 90s whenever I was his neighbor. His wife did all the driving, or he took a bus. That was one of the things that I brought up to him. Is if your kids are okay with it. Why do I feel like i'm a dirty little secret. Then my overthinking kicked in, and I'm like, well in my last relationship when I wasn't around and didn't hear from him, he was cheating on me. So I start assuming things and I texted him and luckily we were able to talk it out and I said let's just try to wait until after the new year and see how things go. Let's remain friends because we do not want to lose our friendship. We really do have a connection there. I lost my boyfriend in 2010. We started talking on the phone not Facebook after he lost his wife. I told him I was so sorry I wanted to come see them at their new house. when I go to the street that they lived on where I lived next door with my ex-husband it brings back my anxiety and stress of the horrible things that happened at the end of our marriage, and me leaving him. I know on Facebook under people you may know people related to him were showung up. I just felt like after we were together Tuesday I would have at least gotten a text that evening after he got home or at least the next day saying, Hey it was so good to see you. Thanks for stopping by, and I got nothing. I asked him if I did something wrong? He replied no I just like my own time. I can't help how I feel. So I pulled away and continue to stay single. He honestly didn't know what friends with benefits was and I said I did it one time and it was after my boyfriend had passed away. I wasn't emotionally available to be in a relationship but I wanted to have some fun. I was going to school, working and my two daughters were younger. So I was constantly busy. Now i'm retired, I take care of my mom, and I have nothing but time on my hands most of the time. I think one of the hardest things is he's an early morning riser, and I'm a late night owl. I even asked him about coming to my house and he didn't seem too thrilled about that and when I go into his house his entire dining room is like a shrine to his wife, and that is hard. I don't fault him for that. I understand it, but he has to understand how it affects me. And puts me to the point that all I can do is be a friend. That's why us being friends work so much better. Because we could talk about how we miss the person that we love. That was in heaven, but trying to be together with someone that I knew the person he was married to is difficult. He didn't know about my relationship with my bf Paul that died. He didn't even know the things that went on with my ex-husband and I.
