That’s a really clean 900. A dash with no cracks! I need to get my AC working on my 1991 900 SPG.

Interesting. Thank you. I had mine running on R134A for a short time but it didn't like it. The molecule size of the gas is smaller and it lost charge after only a few weeks. The compressor also made a more audible whine using R134A. I've since had a similar job done on, including Tx valve and receiver-dryer replacement, as well as compressor overhaul. Switched back to R12 and holding charge nicely, 2 years later.

I liked this a lot. Thanks. I am just considering buying a 900turbo with non working AC system and this video offered a lot of help. Thanks Dimitri.

Reall good, thanks… I live in Australia which is fairly hot for 6 months of the year and was thinking a more modern ac compressor may be the way to go?

I just ripped my whole ac out, and I mean everything. I live in the north and it didn't work anyway. we're lucky to see 6 weeks or warm weather. I'm in my 50's and have never owned a car with a working ac. I just need the window to roll down . But great video !

Yeah, that is a clean 900. Would love to know the year/mileage, and what (if any) restoration work you did. Also a lot of other functional components that I recall looking at on mine. Namely clutch, anti-frost switch, and a few more things I don’t recall. Also, I need a new pressure relief valve. They seem to be hard to find anymore. Ah, just visited your website. That’s apparently the ‘92 that shows as sold. Still way clean for a NorthEast resident.
