Awesome explainer! What I'm struggling to understand is why someone would buy the $ZEPH token? Is it not possible to get the Zeph stable coin directly? Like one has to first buy $ZEPH and then exchange it for Zeph USD token? I am confused... And another question: If the amount of Zeph USD is essentially restricted by the value of $ZEPH within the protocol - doesn't that basically put a hard limit on how much Zeph USD there can be? So it's possible that at some point, demand for a STABLECOIN exceeds the supply - but since price of a stable coin has to remain stable at $1 obviously, how would that work? If you could answer these questions I'd really appreciate it..

Great questions, I will do my best to answer them but I'd suggest you to reach out to Zephyr Protocol directly for more conclusive answers. Q: Why someone would buy the $ZEPH token? A: The reason would be first and foremost to participate in the Zephyr ecosystem. As you said, users who wish to mint ZephUSD, would need to first deposit $ZEPH into the protocol as collateral. This is similar to how DAI stablecoin works, you first need to deposit ETH as collateral in order to mint DAI: www.charliedefi.com/stable-coins/dai In addition to that, it is not possible to get ZephUSD directly, this is because ZephUSD is backed by the collateralization of $ZEPH. Q: Is there a hard limit on how much ZephUSD there can be? A: Yes there is and it is determined by the value of $ZEPH held in reserve. In case demand exceeds supply, the price of ZephUSD will rise sightly above $1 incentivizing the holders to sell their ZephUSD back to the protocol and mint $ZEPH. This is a great arbitrage opportunity which carries min risk and users can profit off of it.
