Ever After is one of my favorites movies I've ever seen. From my POV, this movie is THE best version of Cinderella's fairytale story that was ever made. I'm 32 yrs old and I still loving it so deeply. That's a shame that in my country, Ever After isn't on streaming. "A bird may love a fish, signore. But where will they live?" "Then I shall have to make you wings." ❤

I really wanted Drew Barrymore to get an Oscar nomination for this film. I know Renaissance was in vogue at the time, but her dramatic Cinderella was so worthy, and even her drive into serious romantic drama. This film was a game-changer. That being said, Drew, I love you!

The soundtrack, the landscapes, the costumes, the characters, THE ACTORS, the editing, the story, the research, and of course the main message of the film to all boys and girls out there. My mother and I didn't see eye to eye often, and my childhood was less than idyllic with her, but when we'd watch Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, and Ever After, somehow we bonded. It's been 6 years ago I lost her, but I can hold on to those memories of watching these films to feel closer to her. I'm sorry for your loss.

I absolutely love this film. A big part is definitely what Drew said: "you don't have to put one gender down to empower the other." Beautiful take on the Cinderella story. Exquisite dialogue too. I remember watching Ever After with my brothers. We would all recite Anjelica's witty and funny lines by heart. We even got my sister-in-law doing the same thing. The film is really ahead of its time. The cast was phenomenal and to this day, Ever After is one, if not the best, Cinderella films ever made. Ever After is timeless and is still relevant today. The film itself is a treasure trove of one liners that anyone can use in their daily lives. It is on the top 5 list of my favorite films along with The Mummy and The Mummy Returns.

How do they all look so fabulous after 25 years? Used to watch Drew’s films on video when I was depressed and would laugh and cry, they all still hold up particularly well his film, Wedding singer and Never Been kissed. I just adore this film, beautiful, funny and an empowering message to females to live without waiting for someone to rescue you, save yourself and be your own hero. Even my hubby loves Everafter and we rewatched it few months ago. I love Drew’s talk show but hope she returns to the big screen soon. Brilliant cast. Brilliant movie. Brilliant interview. ❤

The casting was amazing!!! Angelica was the best step mother. She acted more human. I loved the dynamic of the family. One sister was nice. And there was also still boundaries between them. This was demonstrated In the scene when they felt awkward because she caught them with her mother's gown. It was more realistic than the other Cinderella movies!!

This is my comfort movie and I'll always love it because the girl saves herself And what's really great about it is, like they said, the other gender wasn't stepped on. This is genuinely my favourite film of all time and has been since I was 11 or 12. I can recite it word for word. Cinderella is my least favourite Disney princess, so it’s ironic that this is my favourite movie, but I think the reason why is because Danielle saves herself. She didn’t wait around for the prince. It’s just an amazing take on the classic story.

If Henry hadn't come for Danielle, she would have had quite a difficult time. She could not go back to the manor and had very few allies. Maybe Le Pieu would have changed his mind and started to pursue. Danielle could have survived this, but it would have been an entirely different story.

i’m so so grateful for this reunion. for the past few years i’ve been getting glimpses in my mind of a movie i knew i loved in my childhood but for the life of me could not remember the name. (said glimpses were of an old man with a beard walking on water and a still of the castle lol) i saw a thumbnail or something for this reunion and immediately knew this was the movie i’ve been thinking of. i watched it again today for the first time in probably 8-10 years and omg the nostalgia i got… i literally remembered every little thing about the movie as i watched it and was soooo emotionally satisfying. i was freaking out the whole time. i’m omw to go watch it again bc omg it’s just as good as i remember. thank you drew barrymore show🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

This was the first PG-13 movie I saw in theatres as a child. It was a belated 10th birthday treat from my parents - took me out to red lobster, went to the brand new movie theatre which was decked out in late 90s black/white/green/purple, and seeing this on the big screen. I remember it felt like forever for this to come out on VHS, and I watched it to death within two years. Also, I have the novelization of the film I got from the scholastic flyer. It was one of my first adult chapter books I read.

Watching Ever After right now and watched it many times prior. Love it dearly and all the actresses and actors excelled in their roles. Drew Barrymore as Danielle De Barbarac stands the test of time as feminine strength personified. While Anjelica Huston portrayed Baroness Rodmilla de Ghent Danielle's Stepmother a true villain by choosing from day one not to acknowledge her husband's first child in favor of her own. While also being jealous of the love her husband showed his daughter at his passing. While Dougray Scott as Prince Henry a boy who grew into an honorable man because of falling in love with someone willing to call him out on his shortcomings, while also teaching him to appreciate what he was born into as royalty and respect those he will one day rule as King. Guiding Henry's heart, eyes and mind to the world around him; so he looks past status and loves Danielle as his equal. Classic film and one i love to quote line per line from start to finish. I was 9 when this film was released and I make it a tradition to watch 2-3 times a year. I have it on blu ray and own as a digital copy to stream. I treasure this story and will never tire of watching it❤❤❤❤

my favorite childhood movie!! I was 13, my mom got home from a conference (she's a teacher) and she handed me this cd, and told me, her co-teacher told her it's a great movie so she bought it for me. I watched it multiple times, that I memorized the lines and it's not even my 1st language. I just watched it the other day! and now I saw this interview! so good! 💕
