To overcome the problem of wooden roofs rotting and leaking water when it rains. Especially during the rainy season like now. Today, I decided to make clay tiles to roof my stone house. Going through many processes to create quality tiles. From selecting the soil, softening and pliable the soil, filtering rocks out of the soil, to shaping the tile. Everything is carefully and thoroughly prepared. Let's follow the clay tile making process in my video.
Have fun watching the video!

You can process and refine much more of that clay at a time far more quickly, easily and to a much higher quality by dissolving it in a pot of water then pouring the liquid into a pit, leaving the sand and rocks in the bottom of the pot and letting the clay settle back out to the bottom of the pit, this produces very pure clay, you can also mix rice flour into clay to make it easier to work and prevent it from breaking or cracking while moulding, you can also add crushed up ceramic (fired clay) and finely shredded plant fibre like crushed up bark to prevent it from cracking when fired in the kiln.

Primitiv Technologies (John Plant) did it once... Highly recommend that methode

The pit water method works really well. The left over gravel can be used for concrete work or walk ways too. Though you do need a way to agitate the water to help blend up that clay.
@CaoticoFanegasO_o
@CaoticoFanegasO_o 7 күн бұрын
The only downside is that you'd have to wait for the clay to settle and/or dry. Even if that doesn't require constant attention, if you need the clay to be usable as soon as possible, it may take more time than ideal. Anyway, it might be a good idea to have a stock of refined clay waiting to be used in the long term, as you would just have to collect it and re hydrate it to make it readily available.
@kameljoe21
@kameljoe21 7 күн бұрын
@@CaoticoFanegasO_o A clay pit means you can spend time every day adding to it. The water will drain and dry out over time. Even if it 100% dries out you can hydrate them. You would want to have several pits going so that the stages work out good for you.

So, in my opinion, it is more effective, sir, rather than using wood, when we use wood, the wood is exposed to rainwater and then seeps into the inside of the wood which will make it become rotten. I appreciate the tile making which is great, enthusiastic ✨👏💪

Hey, nice videos, good to see all the healthy pigs and birds! And all these cool large projects! Hope to see some more berry bushes before fall, they might still grow in time! I recommend making a selfpicking flylarva farm for some more protein (snack) for your chickens, a compost place to make compost for plants, maybe under or close to the pigs, as compost make heat, and help your pigs use less energy staying warm and more energy growing large! Then for the compost farm maybe 1 day a week allow the chickens in to eat some earthwurms. I also recomend planting garlic and onions where u plant things that gets eaten by snails, most snails stay away from Onion plants. For the roof tiles, u might need a edge on the tile where it fits with the other tile, else u will need a lot of over lapping tiles, witch will be resource and time uneffective. The eggshels are good grinded up and used on plants aswell. Good luck with the tiles! Maybe a crane could be good to lift all the tiles? also, dont fall!
