Managed to find the complete series on dvd , im waiting for the fall to binge after work. What a life Richard lived. The character he played wasnt far fetched from his real life. Have gun will travel FOREVER!

I am 77 and HGWT is my Fav. western of all time. Richard Boone made that program! No one could have taken his place. I loved Kam Tong for BEST other character on that show. I wish they had done more episodes with Kam Tong in it. He was a fabulous character actor but could have played the lead also! Currently I am trying to record every episode of HGWT. Each episode captures you... every time!

A lot of them were not "pretty boys". Pretty boys could not take being hit in the face in a lot of those fight scenes. Richard Boone could not be considered a pretty boy but he was tough and not someone you would want to mess with or get on the wrong side of. A real badass gunfighter.
