This is all over the news today and people will drink lots more milk as a consequence thinking they are lowering their cancer risk. Yet cow's milk still has a positive association with other cancers such as breast and prostate.

Yep this is really dangerous promoting milk. Also the animal exploitation 😱👎

it's also about what farmers are feeding cows. Today farmers are feeding cows waste mince meat to increase the milk produced. The consequences will be damage to the digestion in the cow's body, which will absorb bacteria not associated with cow's as they are herbivores, or grazing animals. So expect new illnesses. We are limited for food and drink due to the population explosion in recent decades.

Having more fibre in your diet helps reduce the risk , most people drink milk and bowel cancer rates have increased.
@pittuk6500Күн бұрын
"glass of cow's milk per day could decrease colorectal cancer risk by a fifth while drinking a glass of wine increases it by 15%." - so a wine/milk cocktail, reduces the risk by 5%?

Like most things it’s the way that it’s produced that causes issues - nothing wrong with eating grass fed organic red meat which is full of glutamine - just stay away from processed meat which have all the nasty additives like nitrates

France has a lower cancer rate than the UK. Despite drinking more red wine. Eating more red meat and dairy products. 🤷♂️

Vegans or what people call "true" or "real vegans dont consume ANYTHING associated with animals rather than only meat, for examples they dont wear leather, wont consume gelatine products, wont eat a single dairy product or any egg based products, they also even avoid certain toiletries because they've been tested on animals, it's a little extreme imo and I dont hate vegans but some really do try and push their opinions towards others even though the reality is that 1 individual becoming or turning vegan will not stop other animals getting killed so just as many will go to waste
@robertbrown6531Күн бұрын
It might reduce the chance of bowel cancer but there is still a positive link between dairy and other cancers like prostate and breast. Tread very carefully with cow's milk, we are still the only species on the planet that drinks the mother's milk of another mammal....and no I'm not even vegan.

Milk in the UK is excellent. I wish we had such a great milk here in spain. Here its tasteless
@DaStarchild666Күн бұрын
I think it's due to we've been purposely selecting and breeding certain cows that produce not just more milk, but a nice flavoured milk.. I could be wrong but I think that's what it is

@DaStarchild666 I don't know I just know the two times I've been visiting the UK, the milk tastes GREAT !
@DaStarchild666Күн бұрын
@DavidRodriguez-wp7zi and I couldn't argue that because I haven't tasted milk from other countries, I've only ever drank the milk from England stores, so I'll have to take your word for it and just give my theory as to why I think it could be like that
