dropping out of school and getting into these positions or be innovative on a really high level is mostly the result of being exceptionally intelligent and productive. That group of people is small. This could actually lead to a way more exclusive school system and work environment/ separation of social classes. Also, I hear kids nowadays refer to Musk saying you don't need a diploma as a motivation to look down on teachers and not invest energy in their education.

When I was at school, particularly in math classes, we were never explained how anything would be relevant in the real world, after school. We were taught most things blindly; everything seemed senseless and we studied to just pass the exams and not get into trouble. How pathetic, non communicative and irrelevant.

I don’t think the reason why they quit school was that they were 100% sure they were going to succeed, but more like they had a plan B safety net as in a wealthy family to fall back on if they fail. Just saying, I’m not hating on them or anything. Now, it’s in their power to use their wealth and experience to help lift the rest of society up! On line schools seem to be a great way to home school kids. Considering school shootings, bullying, behavioral issues, and germs - it seems like the most realistic avenue. Elon seems to be a philanthropist and genius billionaire, who has invested all of his personal funds to see them thru. He has common sense suggestions for everyday issues.
