If Bent-ear were a tiger, his story would have been known widely all over the land. Heads of states would have gone to catch a glimpse of him. But since he's only a wolf, few people will be interested in him. However a story such as this will change all that, and get more people interested in knowing about wolves and other animals such as hyenas, jackals, foxes etc. Fascinating story!

The sad reality of conservation in our country, the likes of Caracals and Pallas's Cat are ignored cause people don't know about them enough or they aren't flashy enough while investments are made to bring Namibian Cheetahs to India.

What an amazing story...so beautiful. These nomads realize what most people don't. We take away their habitat, and expect them to adapt, and cry when they attack something of ours just to survive. When we run out of room, we just keep going, and take and take and take some more, until there's nothing left. Even when we have everything we need, we still want more. Every single one of these creatures, whether it be wolves, jackals, hyenas, etc. add a vital chain to a link that is slowly dying. We may not see the effects for years, but one day we will realize continuing to eliminitate links from that chain will have a detrimental effect on our lives and, one day, I think, we will be the ones who will be stealing just to survive.

Off course all canines are evolved omnivores, some dogs live long healthy lives as vegans, but felines are obligate carnivores bc they cannot make the necessary amino acids purely from plant matter as us human mammals or other omnivores can. We can choose/adapt but felines need meat.

Bro if I’m a Shepard and I see a wolf by my fence I’m going to hide and watch and try to see what they’re doing to get into my caddie so I can figure the way they’re getting in. Instead of chasing the wolf off and then later on you’re not around and the wolf comes back and they get in!! See if you observed the wolf you could see how they’re getting in and make a better plan to stop them! Hard to fix a problem and find a solution when you don’t even know the problem!! Indian wolves represent a more ancient lineage than any other wolf population. This explains their extremely untamable nature, they always avoid humans. Also they used to make larger packs earlier when lions used to roam in the grasslands. Now they typically hunt smaller preys, and are not the apex predator. Leopards frequently kill wolves. However, the most vicious Indian canid would be Indian dholes/Indian wild dog. They are killing machines. They can make packs of upto 80 dogs, and there are cases where they attacked and killed entire villages.
