Christianity is what saved ethiopia from slavery . They came and said jesus christ is white. We said god is light, we lit a candle and told them what color is the light So we told them we will paint our jesus christ as a black man . Also also ethiopia is going to rule the world with love.

All Imperialism is 'Justified' Evil. All you need are the right kind of provocations implemented sequentially with an accurate understanding of your target. This is Colonialism/Imperialism are so effective and long lasting. It's hard to defeat a brutal force which can 'justifiably' explain Why they are Brutal towards you.

And this is why I stopped with that christianity thing, as a kid I was taught the practices of my people was evil and if I practised it I'd burn in hell I was taught to hate my image and conform to European standards, come to find out the practice was to give thanks and remember the ancestors that came before us, we give thanks to their struggles and celebrate their lives I literally started to accept my African heritage at the age of around 13 that's when I started to question all I was taught so glad I made it out of that mindset thank the ancestors.

Firstly, I apologise as a proud African American Christian for the foolishness you might have experienced in the church. Its inexcusable that we don't go deeper and understand the true African presence in Christianity and using our traditional worldviews and practices in Christian worship. That is changing in many Black Christian churches and I have seen and participated in it. Still, I have to proclaim, Christianity is not a european religion in origins or universal practice. Its 2000 yrs old not two hundred like the american churches. Ask an Ethiopian Orthodox or any African Catholic who knows his/her faith history. United States reality does not equate to world practice. Christianity has been used by colonisers but it was never theirs to misuse and real African Christians know that. Islam did the same thing but are rarely mentioned as colonisers. Christianity allowed African spirituality to connect to all partss of the world and other spiritual practices, this was lost in protestantism and passed on in the US. This country aint the whole world is all I am saying. Bless.

I know of a few black folk for whom Christianity is a guiding light &a net positive in the way they comport themselves.. but that is very far &few between as benign examples go The overall spread of this religion amongst our people's on the diaspora or even in Africa itself is either EXTREMELY negative or at best calcifying of both thought &action It seems to breed a passive submissive docile compliance to the horrors we face on a daily basis &robs us of the critical mass or critical thinking necessary to alleviate our common distress It is ironic that despite the language that sprang forth from anti black Christian discourse.. that it is indeed one of the more backward &regressive religions in practice At some point we either have to abandon it wholesale or find a way to wield it at arms length in the superficial near allegorical way wight folks (who really don't seem to take the gospel anywhere near as seriously as black people) do in order to make it benefit them &their kin.

We lost...the enactment of the Berlin Conference and other treaties amongst themselves over the generations have solidified their position. The development of the gun definitely solidified their position of authority and dominance...weapons, technology and now the complete inner understanding of how the body functions and how to manipulate it has cemented their position even further. Completely unrelated: But China has developed pathogens that can directly and specifically affect specific racial groups.

This is also true about Jeremiah 13:23. "Can a Cushite change his skin?" Of course he can, but Jeremiah, who also had dark skin like a Cushite goes further: "Can a leopard change it's spots?" Even a Black leopard is spotted. Those are his markings. Cushites were known to mark their skin. These cuttings on the skin would be of concern to a Levite or priest knowing no one with cuttings could enter the temple. And once marked, you can't change like tanning in the sun. Only a non-black person would put attention on the skin color.

In researching psychological effects of people, deep dives are needed. This is the case of Christianity. In the USA, people are mainly familiar with western Christianity and know very little about older forms of Christianity or even the origins of Christianity. In taking a deep dive, Christianity is a Semitic, that is neither African nor European - but was Europeanized to fit the European mindset and aesthetic. But once the Lutheran protestant reformation came, that’s when Christianity branched out out in peculiar ways from prosperity-preaching to Black people believing that they are the real Jews or Hebrews. What is the curse of Ham, I actually talk to an orthodox rabbi about that and he says that there’s no proof that ham was ever African and that there are 2 Hebrew words for curse and the Hebrew word used for the curse of Ham means a correction to hopefully see the light - not a curse in the modern sense as we know it. But Christians in general do not know Hebrew (or Greek for the New Testament either) so they wouldn’t understand it (along with cherry-picking verses to fit their viewpoints). And the Talmud is the oral law which is something completely different that would take one person 7.5 years to read if they read a page a day. It is commentary from other Jewish rabbis/sages/scholars that can be easily misinterpreted, if you don’t have a guidance of rabbi who is well-versed in it.

You didn't mention the fact that Africa became Christian first than Europe, it is a great disrespect to despise the African Christian Identity that was there before the Protestant heresies and the Papist proselitism came and tried to conform Africa to the Modern European Identity (Western Imperialism), instead of embracing the True African Identity and Tradition in the Christian Faith, as brothers and sisters within the Holy Church. God bless my African brothers and sisters.

I love most of your videos Hometeam but I was hoping that you would have gone a bit deeper than just sounding like a research paper written by a pacifist European. For a title like “how Europe went to war on Africa’s minds” I was hoping for more vivid examples that happened on the African continent like the use of starvation as a weapon of war where only those who converted were given food rations. This played a part in creating the psyche of associating Christianity with salvation. There were also countless genocides against ‘pagan’ villages that refused to convert. Not to mention the modern use of the media and pro western education systems injected with anti-African bias. Instead you just gave the usual white girl in front of an audience speech about how missionaries preached to the Africans who accepted because they did not know any better.

And yet, if you study the history of early Christianity, it was the NORTH AFRICANS that were probably the most influential in shaping the new religion! For better or worse, St. Augustine of Hippo (4th century) left a stamp on the church that rivals St. Paul's, and he was far from being the only one. You could make the case that while the church may have been headquartered in Rome, it was the North African Bishops and theologians that made Christianity what it is today--a fact conveniently forgotten in light of later developments.

But what if there is truth in what the Europeans said, and it didnt have anything to do with blacks being black? What if it was more about what they observed about blacks they came in contact with. That would make it not so much racist, and more just telling it like it was. Hard pill, yes, but more important if it is true, then it wasn't so much about race, as it was about just seeing a people who lived as wild and uncivilized savages, and exploiting them, much like you would livestock....wrong yes, but not in the same way as some people want to spin it....like there were some advanced African civilization that the evil Europeans conquered and enslaved...maybe there just wasn't any, or only a very limited number of them.
