Yeah, I know but the transformations have become a bit confusing (android 17 with equal power with ssj blue…) I think the original comment is referring to the fact that some transformations have become obsolete… even characters like Majin Buu were once a threat, but now… teven the previous versions of the SSJ… have become an itch on the back (universe 6’s Saiyan). They are still cool but in terms of power up they can’t keep up with god level enemies.

I think Vegeta got SSJ2 before the Buu saga and he knew Goku also had it with the fight with Yarkon and that's why he let himself become Majin Vegeta to give himself a boost over Goku but he didn't know Goku already got to SSJ3 and that's why they were even. Vegeta transformed too naturally for it to be his first time using it against Goku.

Even being technical know Goku witnessed a glimpse of SSJ2 kid Gohan. in the hyperbolic time chamber. This was hinted within the manga. The anime showed us what it was that was hinted at. That’s why in both the manga be busy and the anime DBZ Kai master Corrine said this you know something hung Goku. That shows the implication that Goku witnessed go hunt in a potential both in the manga and in the anime manga gives reference to the head without revealing it. The anime actually reveals the reference and the heat. Critical thinking and common sense is rare.

Goku - literally had cheat code by being able to train with Gods + with a spiritual body for 7 years straight. Vegeta - Had to wait 7 years before literal magic, 7 years of pent up frustration and training, and a renewed sense of purpose finally let him unlock that form. Gohan - Was simply born gifted. At 12 years old, after a little bit of training, he had the genetic potential to be Ss2 at max power. It still took a year of training with maybe the best fighting instructor you could ever hope for + the threat of the world being destroyed for him to finally be able to access it. Vegeta did admit no amount of training could close the gap between him and Goku. I am sure he was already SSJ2 but when he saw a brief second of Goku's SSJ2 against Yakon he knew from that point that his SSJ2 form would still be no match against Goku.

But then with Gohan actually first turning Super Saiyan 2 actually being in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber according to the flashback, it was less to talk about. Perhaps I should have clarified in the beginning more when I said the “anime timeline” because this is a part 2 series. my previous video was about SSJ 1. In the previous video I constantly referenced the manga, which is important. It is the source material after all. My aim was less so to discredit the anime, and more so with saying when the form first debuted. And to be fair, the form was unlocked for the first time in the manga.

Through rigorous training, any Saiyan who had already reached Super Saiyan can achieve Super Saiyan 2 [such like Vegeta]. Of course since DBS really just pulled a "Twilight vampire movie" but used it on universe 6's Saiyans is the most absurd way of becoming Super Saiyan 2.

While I do agree that it's just one possible interpretation, I do believe and insist that Kale and Kefla's SSJ forms are indeed the Legendary variant, since we've seen Kale's power grow infinitely. Kefla's SSJ forms being the Legendary variant would give a lot of sense to her absurd power. It was a fatigued Goku VS a fusion that's, on base, as strong as two SSJ2 warriors, but increasing pretty much every second, and then multiplying that x50 and x100. I think that's a solid explanation to rise from below a SSJ3 Goku to barely below UI Sign in just one battle. The fact that later on we get to see Broly go from below SSJ God to around SSJ GOGETA level makes this theory more likely to be true. That aside, I also belive the games call Kefla's form just SSJ2 because they DON'T want to mention the term Legendary Super Saiyan because it would make some people get confused and think stuff like Z Broly being canon and stuff like that.

I hole heartedly believe that vegeta going majin is why he became ssj2 for the first time and was able to master it in quick succession, my main reasons are as follows yes he has his own will to fight goku, but ultimately babidi gives him a big push, his emotions towards fighting goku by any mean is what i believe allowed to go ssj2 and master in a quick time, vegeta even states to goku during there fight that hes been holding back and that he let babidi revert him to his old ways and showed him powers that he didn't even know he had, which means babidi legit made vegeta stronger by giving him drive and conviction, conviction to fight goku even stronger than what he is now. And during the tournament before the whole majin stuff they agreed to ssj transformation of any type, so even if vegeta had ssj2 he wasn't gonna use it.

There's a difference in the auras around SSJ and SSJ2. You'll have to look at the manga to notice it. The anime is very inconsistent with everything. Gohan first reached SSJ2 at the cell games. 10:49 😅 Gohan did not dominate Dabura. 13:30 Daizenshuu is non-canon 13:48 Mastered SSJ2? No such thing. 15:50 We never really see Gotenks as a SSJ2, because Toriyama forgot about it and thought the long hair + no eye brows form was SSJ2.

He talked as if he had finally surpassed gohan as a super saiyan 2.he does that only when he has surpassed characters. However as a mssj2 he wouldn't have taken the boost to win against goku. He only did that once he realized that goku still had more mastery of ss2 than him

Anyone who thinks vegeta didn't achieve ssj2 before the buu saga is delirious. Remember when goku achieved ssj, vegeta's pride couldn't handle it. He left and trained endlessly until he became ssj. Gohan is a child who became ssj2... vegeta wouldn't have stopped until he to became ssj2. You see vegeta training at the beginning of the but saga using bulma gravity machine. Vegeta transformed into SS2 easily and effortlessly like it was something he was use to. You don’t transform that easily on the first time ever. Plus a power boost doesn’t unlock new transformations.

I just want to take the time say while the back tingle method is pretty weak in the anime it does have enormous advantage compare to the traditional way. Think of this when you first awaken Super Saiyan, your body is engrossed with power that both ancient and overwhelming. Your attacks are 50x more potent and stronger than before. Not only that, it creates like a tunnel vision of focus in your mind like "I won't stop unless he's breath is snuff out" like when Goku fought Frieza. Dude was so focus on taking him out his sense of reason was long gone and the emotional impact it carries with that form is really frighten. But with the back tingle, all those negative effects and traits are reduced greatly. You have a clear head when fighting, the emotional and mental toll is lessen, and drawback of being very fatigued is reduced. I am not saying the back tingle method is great and in fact I wish another method was use as a substitute, but the way to attaining Super Saiyan during this way is still worth praised for taking away and negative impact of the form. People keep in mind than Universe 6 Saiyan are shown more peaceful than U7 and their worlds and ways while similar are still different.

Ok so aside from universe 6 ,to unlock ssj is the pain of loss of something they hold dear,friends,family,pride ,Id like to believe ssj 2 can be unlocked through liberation or absolution. Goku being fine with being dead, Vegeta finding the will to fight again, trunks saving his future, cell from realizing he survived his own self destruction, and Gohan being free to kill cell . The whole Vegeta thing is weird to me. Vegeta was confident in his chances against Goku when he saw ssj1 Goku, it wasn’t until Goku went ssj2 against Yakkon that he decided to use Babadi. This means that base Vegeta = base Goku, ssj1 Vegeta = ssj1 Goku but ssj2 Vegeta < ssj2 Goku, since it was stated that Vegeta wasn’t on his level until he got the Majin power up.
