Glad to see all the positive reception for this video! We are VERY excited to do more videos like this! We did however make a small mistake. The Buccaneers owners name when they come up in 1976 - we said Hugh Culverson - and it’s Culverhouse. We are sorry about the error!

Can we vote for a realignment? Im a Cowboys fan and it sucks having rivals with teams on the east coast that you never run into. If we played New Orleans and Texans twice a year that would be a great rivalry. We actually have family ties and competitive feelings towards our neighbors already. Maybe you could also schedule at least one game against a long time rival like the Redskins every year. So many teams have Rivalries with teams that are no where near them. Like Shouldn't the 3 Cali teams be in the same division? Florida also. forget the stupid NFC AFC none of us where alive to even give a damn about. Just divide the divisions by actual area. But still schedule old rivals at least once a year. Win win. Just have a West, East, South and MidWest division. Top 4 teams in each region go to playoffs. Imagine if the different regions actually squared off in the semi's !!! that would be lit. King of the East vs King of the West, or Midwest Champs vs Southern champs. Everybody would have a region to root for instead of two random teams that the other 30 team fans don't give a damn about. Now It would have some regional pride and history behind it. I know closed mined people will say "football is perfect dont change it". Glad they didnt think like that when they changed the game a million times in the last 100 years or we would have a shitty sport. What a dream to actually meet people you have rivalries with... maybe one day. West: Seattle, LAC, LAR, 49ers, Oakland, Arizona, Denver, KC MidWest: Greenbay, Chicago, Min, Indy, Detroit, Cinci, Cle, Tenn East: Boston, Giants, Buff, Philly, DC, Jets, Pitts, Baltimore South: N.O., Houston, Dallas, Jacks, Tampa, Miami, Atlanta, Carolina

I'm curious as to why the Cowboys are called "America's team" if they are neither the oldest nor have the most championships.
@roberto5red5rocky85
@roberto5red5rocky85 4 жыл бұрын
@@sizablekoala6879 Cowboys are called Americas team because it was a nickname given to them by the NFL films department because of their popularity, not championships. Even now they get the highest ratings and most airtime on any sports show because the ratings for both dont lie. Also they blow every other team out the water when it comes to merchandise sales and different product deals that other teams dont have. Love them or hate them they are Americas teams. Dallas along with the Steelers are a huge reason that Football took that next step into top dog in sports in the 0's. Much like what Magic and Bird did for basketball, same can be said about those Bradshaw and Staugbach teams. Nothing to do with Championships.

Being from a small city of what which used to be one the biggest cities in Ohio, Portsmouth, the portsmouth Spartans are still a pretty important part of our history here. We have a 3 mile flood wall with murals of our history and that football team holds like 3 spaces on it. The portsmouth high school even call themselves the Spartans and they play in the Spartan stadium. Being from such a small place, it’s weird hearing people talk about it haha

@@binkyxz3 Yup. That Boston. That profited for a century and change. That sent judges to neighboring town to investigate witches, whose governor ordered payment for scalps for "savages" in the 17th and better half of the 18th century. That same Boston whose residents evolved opinions and worldview through the Enlightenment and pushed to end that very slave trade, while men further south would stop at no end to enshrine and protect institutional slavery, and send others' sons to their death to protect their right to own people.

@@stephenflanigan9717 Yes, we all have a checkered history. Interesting the northern terminus of the underground railroad was in Canada, not Boston, and Lincoln's own Illinois allowed blacks to pass thru but not settle. It is comical to believe the 3% of Southerners who owned slaves could convince the other 97% to fight and die for something that provided them no benefit.

I really enjoy games where teams wear their throwback uniforms. I'm a Packers fan and while I think their modern uniform looks great I really enjoy when they pull out the old school navy blue and gold uniform every so often. Personally I think it makes the older uniforms that much more enjoyable to see your favorite team playing in. Unless it's the Steelers throwback uniform, that one is just awful, lol.

When Barron Hilton attended the USC football games the previous years as a football fan at the L.A.Coliseum he would hear the Tommy Walker Charge chant. When Tommy Walker would run out to the football field to attempt the extra point kicks as the team kicker the USC team music band would play Tommy’s Charge chant he created as the team musician and the football fans that attended the games would yell out his Charge chant “Da Dah Dah Dah Da” Charge! “Da Dah Dah Da “Trojan Warriors Charge! to motivate him to score the extra point kicks. So that’s where Barron Hilton got inspired and got the idea to name the Los Angeles Chargers football team. The proof is in the Chargers 1960 original shield logo with the horse charging into battle. The Charger is a horse charging into battle. very similar to the USC Trojan Warrior with shield and sword and horse mascot charging on to the field to battle. Hence the horse in the Chargers 1960 original shield logo. The lightning bolt idea came from Barron Hilton liking the Air Force College football team lightning bolt logo as a College football fan. Till this day that famous Charge chant is heard at the game’s and through out many other sporting game events. The Los Angeles Chargers r the true original L.A. born team now back playing in the original birthplace and not too many team’s can claim that fact. Rams were born in Cleveland 1936 and Raiders were born in Oakland 1960 And that’s a fact these other teams can’t ever claim. And also the Chargers r the true Southern California NFL team because they have never left Southern California unlike the Cleveland/ST.Louis Rams and the Oakland/Las Vegas Nevada Raiders. Let’s Go Los Angeles Chargers The true original L.A. born team now back playing in the original birthplace L.A. Da Da Dah Dah Da Charge!!! ⚡️🐴 🏈 Born in L.A. in 1960 and played their first season ever in Chargers history at the L.A.memorial Coliseum finishing the season with a 10-4 record. Da Da Dah Dah Da Charge!!! ⚡️🐴 🏈..

I got a really big kick out of seeing the Portsmouth Spartans on the map. My mother grew up in Portsmouth, and my grandfather lived there all his life. He occasionally mentioned that Portsmouth had a professional football team when the NFL was young, but never mentioned that they moved to Detroit and became the Lions. My mother graduated from Portsmouth High School, and the name of their sports teams was, and is, the Spartans.
