I know I'm late but I'd also like to mention Potter's big brain on the split pick. Every split map prior demon1 had been on smokes with boostio on chamber and they never got a win from it. PRX felt confident when banning that split would be theirs but the split decision (no pun intended) to change comps and put demon1 on jett was huge and threw off PRX and EG ended up taking map 1 in grand finals because of it

At 12:20 some parts weren't shown to explain how Something pushed up that far or got caught. Com relays skye flash went deep passed A main and into spawn. Boostio and Com sus the flash, so Boostio turned a couple of times to check and sure enough, it was good awareness.

Its crazy how you dont mention on how prx flash peaked a lot on ascent but in the final round they dry peek caching eg completely off guard and winning the map.

Good point it definitely caught them off guard that round! They probably chose to walk because they didn't want to make their push obvious (knowing EG took control mid) but it definitely still caught EG off guard and closed out the game!

nah you're right idk whats up with that. Feels like he put money on PRX or smth for how hard he was criticizing their Bind and Split, and how hard he gassed up their Ascent. Like apparently the vast majority of rounds were in PRX hands and its either they threw or capitalized it for how good they are. In some parts it gets bad but saying stuff like something would've won a 1v2 postplant clutch if he was Reyna instead of Breach is just wild no?

I had the opposite reaction. I thought he was gassing up EG a lil bit too much when I started watching but I think it became more even as I watched. I felt like the criticisms were more of a style of analysis. I'm PRX biased tho, so maybe I'm just tripping.

@@realshi229 both teams did play out of their minds, but PRX definitely did not play their usual style of VALORANT, or even their usual comp. PRX started over heating and choking some obvious leads (EG did too but not as blatantly), and with some rounds coming down to the wire, there is definitely a world where PRX won without the pressure of jinggg leaving. (As I am a PRX stan, I do think the chances were favoring towards PRX, like 60:40. just me tho) But alas, the pressure was there whether we wanted it or not, and they lost. GGs to both teams. P.S. The fact that Platoon said that something would've probably won the 1v2 postplant if he was Reyna instead of Breach isn't wild at all. Reyna's two dismisses/heals are only for duels and up to the crucial 1v2, something had not fought anybody to use those 2 util. Had he been Reyna, he might've been able to isolate the first pick, dismiss and reposition to play time more effectively. There was a chance. And yes, he did whiff, but remember Reyna is something's comfort pick; we don't really know if him being uncomfortable on Breach even factored to the whiff. What's happened happened. All we can do is speculate on what could be.
