How evil is Cell from Dragon ball?

The thing i love about cell is how he embodies the flaws of all the main characters. His final form is brought about through the arrogance of the saiyans and he is arrogance personified. He's like if you took Goku's drive to find challenging fights and removied his care for humanity. He's sort of a metaphorical shadow of the cast.

Cell is the most accomplished antogonist (in my opinion) and I find it hyper charismatic !

Probably he was the lesser evil ones in the series, imperfect cell was pretty evil. But perfect cell was actually decent as a villain. The least evil villains I could think of from the series was fat buu, the ginyu force, piccolo jr, 17 & 18 from the current timeline, and last but not least, emperor pilaf

Id say alot of the stuff cell does can also be pinned to Gero, cause he programmed all that into him, its still on cell, but Gero gets some credit

The cognitive dissonance in this video. But its seems very rampant amongst dbz circles. Logically why wouldn't a sentient person want to test their new perfect form. A Form, no other character in the show can duplicate or relate too. Test it out and destroy the planet. Thats what he says multiple times in the show. Cell hasn't been alive long, naturally he cant rack up tons kf bodies when in human years, hes a child. Unlike Buu and Freiza, Cell has the genetics and memories of the z warriors inside of him. Je fullu understands good and evil. He knows about past villains and heros and still chooses to be evil. If gohan dies vs cell, cell was going to teleport to other planets like he said he would while chatging his Kamehameha.

Appreciate your comment brother, you called me cognitively dissonant so I was wondering if you could point out where I contradicted myself. Also in regard to the rest of your comment my point was that cell isn’t the kind of character to destroy a planet on a whim like buu because he’s much more sophisticated and cares more about proving his power to Goku and the others. Also you said he still chooses to be evil but I’d argue he’s evil simply because gero made him evil. Other than that I’m not sure where we disagree but I’m open discussion.

@@The69thJoekage Cell has a brain. In my original comment, he already knows what good and bad events happened in the past dating back to dragon ball. he knows what Gero's desires are. He also chose to be evil. Despite being part human himself, when powering up in front of piccolo and 17, piccolo can sense the 1,000's of humans inside of him. Cell replied "They're apart of greatness now". Buu recklessness doesn't make him more evil than he is. For some reason, people have a hard time listening to the dub and thinking with decent rationale. Cell worked so hard to achieve perfection, killing trunks from a different timeline, after stalking him for so long.. and people are perplexed that Cell would choose to test out his body? Any sane person would do that. Enjoy the fruits of your labor. Test out his body, break the egos of the z warriors and destroy the planet. That plan works most of the time, because cell can sense power levels and no ones was even close to his. Until gohan got angry. For most people, they'll think very surface level. Mentioning the astroid as a way to say cell is chill, is not accurate. when freiza raised vegeta like a son. Showed him favoritism over zarbon dedoria and the ginyu force. That's the definition of chill. He literally became a father figure for vegeta and still liked him despite vegeta betraying him on Namek. Textbook definition of compassion.
