I'm not sure where we would be without all these amazing free aircraft. MSFS is an amazing sim, but without the freeware it may not be where it is today. Absolutely, especially in the early days of the sim where payware developers were still struggling there was some great freeware that got us over the time until we got our first proper payware aircraft.

That was splendid - I must get the Frankfurt and update my Gatwick airports. Amazing that even the streamer, and the pilot (the one with excellent timing) were also freeware :-). Thank you so much and I agree donations to the freeware developers are much deserved - as are the content creators like yourself. Landing and hand flying the FBW A320 is just gold isn't it.

A quick tip on the FBW a320, after the engine start, a GWcg is given on the right side of the fuel pred/init B page on the mcdu. It is also given I believe in the EFB before engine start. Go to the payload tab and click the blue swap button next to the ZFWcg. That should change it to GWcg. Also, the chocks and cones are tied to the beacon light I believe, just like the slides

Just gave a run of the FBW a320. Really impressed. So smooth and flies so well. A must try for any a320 fan!

FBW's pushback system can be controlled using your regular side stick inputs, and the tablet even shows you a track prediction based on your current speed and direction. It is a very nice system and I hope that other add-ons imitate it at some point. Also I don't know if you covered it in your video but FBW has a bug with wind uplinks, you have to go manually request winds for each individual phase of flight at the moment. Might help VNAV remain on track.

Oh man. I am waiting for that a380 so much. Rocking the FBW320 from almost a year and had only one issue with it. I do get sometimes rudder wobble at fl340+ that disconnects my AP but i thinks its more controller side related

@@conorscully7008 nope, all assists are off , even mixture one too. Most of the times it happens over bigger/crowded airports aswell as with FSRealistic turned on or off . Its a bummer but managable if you are not afk at this very moment

Hi! Just about the sounds, they were verified very closely with a320neo pilots over the last 3+ years, and I've been working very hard to make them as accurate as possible. If you look up a LEAP neo takeoff and compare the a32nx, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. They do sound pretty significantly different than the LEAP 1B in the max.

Great video. One thing you might have missed in the FBW - it has checklists in the EFB that you can tick off which is a nice feature.

I rather prefer to use the checklists on my actual EFB though because I don't like looking around the cockpit so much in the sim. In VR I'm sure it is awesome, but without VR I prefer not to look around all that much.

We are living in the golden age of flight simulation. The fact this sim can produce multiple fairly close to the real thing cloud layers is in itself is worth every penny. Sure, it may not the be one to use in an ATD but the fun and immersion you get at home can't be beat.

We absolutely do! Though I wonder what we'll say in ten years time from now when looking back. I'm quite sure there will be many, and I mean MANY, things to come that we can't even dream of right now. Just think about worldwide satellite terrain coverage as we've gotten with MSFS. When it was first announced back in 2019 or 2020 I couldn't believe it. At that time I had over 1TB of sat data for countries all over the world in my sim. And all of the sudden MSFS comes along and does that by default. It's really been a wonderful sim when it was first released and I'm sure we will see similar surprises that we can't even think about in the future. But who knows what they'll look like.

The Flight Displays do fluctuate in brightness on the FBW when you go through clouds. A known bug.

Hi captain! Horizon Simulation mod on top lfvr a318 ceo is good as well, I can say similar to fbw a320 in terms of cockpit visuals and in depth system. I would love in the future to see a review doing a flight from Frankfurt to Bucharest. I think there is a schedule flight operated by Tarom A318. Btw, great video !

I bought the 737-900 from PMDG because I wanted to try something new and I'm disappointed. I don't know if I'm so used to the A320 from FBW or if I'm that stupid, but Boeing seems unnecessarily complicated. Airbus on the other hand is very simple and fun to learn for a complete amateur.

Boeing is just a completly different logic. Have a look at my tutorial series for the 737 and I'm sure you'll be able to master the 737!

Hi, no, I'm not using any soundpack or filter. The GPWS however might sound slightly different because my mic picks up the sounds and thus there's a slight echo in them on the recording. I didn't find a proper way to filter that out yet and indeed it seems like most people actually like those echoes.

Hi Kelly, I'm using the development version of it, not the stable one. I don't mind some small issues every now and then, overall I still feel the development version runs much better and more stable than many recent payware releases.

It's the development version. I've been testing addons and flying betas for over ten years now so I don't bother the chance to run into some bugs. However for a development version it's amazingly stable! They really do an awesome job over at FBW!

Been using it for quite long, but I honestly stopped using it because it was quite unrealistic in so many aspects. What's the use of human controllers if they don't follow real procedures? The difference between VATSIM procedures and the real world is huge, it's basically two different sets of operation.
