I have 4 kids who are now full grown adults, watching ur vids with ur kids I miss all the loudness the craziness and being constantly crazy busy, believe me when ur kids are grown and they move out the silence is the worst savor every second of them being young

Very true, take every moment bc there are (4)seasons of life, Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter. Anyways empty nesters usually happens on Fall Season, aging (51-75) & it will be just two spouses managing good health.

I wish I could find more Asian food items where I live. There is only one store I know of that sells a lot of Filipino items in the old town I used to live in.

I usually buy the peeled garlic at Costco. Rinse & dry and dice it in the food processor. Throw them in a ziploc bag and flatten them out, you'll get a few ziploc bags out of them. Throw em in the freezer and you'll have fresh garlic for months!

I’m on disability with two sons and it’s so hard to feed them. I can’t work even if I wanted too. Can’t even remember the last time I bought meat. We have to buy cheap things at Walmart. I wish I could just go fill up a buggy and check out without paying!!! Times are very sad in Canada. Things are 3x the price. I’m actually picking up a food hamper on Wednesday. Hopefully it will give us more to eat than rice, noodles, bread, eggs and soup.

I would think you’re feeling it bc a family (7). I’m a divorcee & my kids were already out the door. We were a family of (5) a native of Guam(USA) I use to shop at our local Cost-U-Less bulk store but since they started to leave the nest I started to not go there anymore. Now it s just me relocated to the US, but I do see food prices has gone up.

@@BenjiManTV PI’s was my back door to shop next to the US bc it’s so much cheaper during those days & still is. Filipino community is the 2nd largest ethnic group next to we native Chamorro’s. Culture similar to being family orientated & have our on Chamorro Cuisine. It’s expensive being USD & have our island tourist entertainment. It’s just 3hrs away from PI’s, Japan & 6-1/2 from HI closes neighboring islands 🏝️…

When we had 7 in the family, our budget would run $300ish for two weeks. We never did organic. Now it’s 5 adults, we run around half the amount and we use coupons.

I’ve purchased lightweight jackets (we live in a hot climate so we haven’t needed any) just for my kids when we go grocery shopping. They don’t mind shopping but they hate the refrigerator section.

For the pre peeled garlic I pulse them in a food processor, lay flat in a gallon freezer bag, score the outside of the bag with a butter knife, and freeze flat. Then you have squares of minced garlic to break off when you need!

I do this too, even with onions and some select vegetables. I'm very busy and still cook daily but for only two pax so everything in the fridge is repacked into two servings. No waste. Easy to defrost. Budget friendly.

But REAL butter rather than margarine is better. Butter vs. Olive oil needs to be used in certain applications to not have that strong OO flavor. Nothing wrong with butter!
